April 18, 2016 4 Night Disney Dream

Hi there! This will be my 3rd Disney cruise (tagging along are my sister-in-law and close friends w/ 3 kids - all first timers!). I've told my friends with kids about fish extenders, so hopefully they will participate.

2nd time on the Dream - did a 3-night Bahamian cruise with my parents in 2014. Wondering what I should do to make this trip even more exciting!

1st cruise was on the Fantasy - 7 night Western Caribbean, honeymoon in 2012.

Doing this trip right after running the Dark Side Rebel Challenge - any other runners on this voyage? Planning on tacking on Castaway Cay 5k?

Yup, running dark side here. (Side note, it is just the dark side. The rebel challenge is in California). We don't get an official 5k race. Not sure why. We can just do the regular castaway 5k in April. the castaway challenge is only in January unfortunately. Im not sure if I will be running it. I will have 14 month old twins in April and it is just my husband and I, so I am not sure if I will make him keep them alone. lol. He is not a runner.

Ah, right I ran the Rebel Challenge in January and keep getting my races mixed up. I know there's nothing you officially get for adding on the 5k, but happy to add another plastic medal to the collection

We have just booked our First Disney Cruise! We are so excited to be joining you all on April 18th!

100 days!!! Can't wait until 1/19 when I can do online check in and pick my PAT and book excursions. Hoping for an early PAT so we can get a full half day in on the first day.

We have 97 days to go.This is my first Disney Cruise!!! I'm so excited I want to pack my bags. With that in mind I also want to work on the fish extenders exchange. Has anyone formed a group yet? If not I would be happy to organize an FE group for those sailing on the Dream, April 18-22, 2016.

If you are interested, please reply to this thread and if we get enough interest, I'll begin the organization of it all. Please note that I am a first time Disney Cruiser and would be open to any and all suggestions from seasoned Disney Cruisers on how to make this a great FE experience for all!

Fish Extenders are pocket banners, bags or anything you'd like to make, that allow other passenger to leave gifts for you or your children. Mailbox with the child's name or family name. You hang your extender outside your door and when you come back there will be a surprise from St. Louis!

Please list the following information for your group. Thanks!

1) Family's Last Name

2) Names of Travelers (along with children's ages & gender) You may also just state "boy" or "girl" if you'd rather not give names.

3) Cabin/Stateroom Number

4) Any special occasion(s) you are celebrating while on board (birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc...)

5) Allergies or items you would NOT want to receive (alcohol/candy/nuts etc...)

6) Favorite Character or Characters (1-2 for each member)

7) Princesses or Pirates for Pirate Night?

8) T-shirt sizes

9) Any other pertinent information you'd like to share.

Lets keep it FUN for the kids.

Gifts must be given to each cabin on your FE list. You may do one cabin gift for everyone or separate gifts for each member. There is no minimum/maximum cost you must spend on these gifts. Please do so at your discretion and with no pressure from others. This is time to get creative and possibly showcase your local hometown fare!

Have you found many to join? This is our first Disney cruise as well and our kids would love this!

I want to get an early PAT this year. Last time we went I waited and the earliest I got was 1. My husband didn't understand that and we showed up at 10 or so. He was so mad when he finally understood what happened. We had a boarding number of 23 or something like that. Never again!
