April 17, 2016 Magic Eastern cruise meet

Hello all,
My name is Linda and I just wanted to say that we have 139 DAYS to go! We are getting really excited about our fourth Disney cruise. The Magic is our favorite ship. It will just be my husband and daughter (25) and I. We have had a very hectic year and we are looking forward to some rest and relaxation. Hopefully in the next few months we can get to know each other and meet on the cruise. We live in SC and will be driving down to the cruise ship.
YooHoo!!

Our family just decided to book this cruise this past weekend and we live in MA. Our family includes hubby, myself and DD 12 and DS 6. This will be our 7th cruise and only could get the second dining.

Hello,
We are super excited about sailing 4/17/16 on the reimagineered Magic! I am searching for the fish extender group does anyone know where to find it. Thanks,
Kristy

We are very excited for our upcoming cruise. This will be our 3rd cruise and our 1st time to the Eastern Caribbean. We have sailed to the Western before. It will be myself, hubby, DD 13 and DS 11.

Wow, I think you are at least the 3rd person who was also on the 4/19 sailing this year. We've done a couple westerns in a row now so also looking forward to doing another eastern.
We were on the 4/19 cruise as well and can't wait for this April.

I would like to know the same thing.. Lol. Hope someone can help us.

Hi traveling companions, this will be our 2nd DC on the Magic. We went last year on April 19 for our daughters birthday. It was so magical and priceless that we've decided to go again. This time celebrating her 8th birthday.

Hello Fellow Magic passengers! This will be our 4th cruise! And it will be our Grand Slam Cruise - all 4 ships since 2011!! I'm very excited. We're a family of 4 from Ontario, Canada...north of Toronto.
We're staying in a small inside cabin, but that means we'll be able to do lots more on the ship and excursions! Now just to find some good flights!

Hi all! Have a question and concern! Just found out our dining time is at 8:30. :guilty: We have four kids- one of them is an infant. Bedtimes at 10-11 just won't work for us. We tried calling to switch and all the early dining is already booked. They put us on a "waiting list." Have very little hope with that. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do to get early dining? Or suggestions on how to make this easier for our family? Or want to switch times with us?

Once you're on the wait list for early dining, I'd suggest you give DCL a call every couple of weeks to "confirm" that you're still on the wait list (remember the squeaky wheel?). If that doesn't come through by the time you board, go immediately to where the dining changes are being handled (the Navigator you get in the terminal will tell you where/when this is) and make the request again. Most times these steps will get you what you want. Occasionally it won't work.

You always eat in Cabanas for dinner (except the first and last nights). It's a sit-down table service with a menu of selected items pulled from the menus being used that night in the other MDRs. Or do room service, or use the poolside quick serve.

Oh man!! Thank you so much!! You sound so hopeful! I will do all of these things!

On our second cruise late dining was all that was available when we booked. We had our TA put us on the wait list and we got early seating. Don't give up!

Hello, first post to this group! My husband and I will be on this cruise and we are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, so are going to be kid free. This is our second Disney Cruise and our first on the Magic. We are very excited and just booked our port adventures. Just wondering what everyone has booked or wants to book for their port adventures?

HI Gacagang,

We have booked a tour to the Baths in Tortola, but that's it so far for port adventures.

We've been to St. Thomas numerous times so not planning on doing a tour there. Might take the tram ride up to Paradise Point if we have a clear day. On Disney cruises we try to skip a port so that we have a day to enjoy the ship when most everyone is ashore.

On Castaway the plan is simple... drop the kids at Scuttle's Cove and then head out on a walk to the observation tower and make our way to Serenity Bay! Then pickup the kids after lunch for family beach time.

That sounds like a great plan. We booked the tour to the Baths also. I have heard only amazing things and we are very excited about this port adventure!

Did you book your Baths tour through Disney? If so are you doing the longer one that includes lunch, or the shorter one? We decided to do the shorter one without the lunch, but don't really like that it is in the afternoon. Everything I have read said it is better to go in the morning when it is less crowded.

Yes we booked through Disney and we did do the longer one from 9:45-3:45.

Hi Everyone!! We just booked our 3rd Disney Cruise on the Magic and are so excited to finally be on DCL for 7 nights (our previous two were both 4 nights on the Wonder and Dream). We are late to the game on this one and booked in to a GT Oceanview Stateroom and would love to participate in an FE exchange if there is one happening for this cruise.

It is just the two of us and we will be celebrating 10 years being together (married 7 1/2 of those years and our 10th anniversary hits while we are on the cruise). Right now, we only have the Baths tour booked and we are doing the all day one through Disney. Haven't decided yet what we want to do in St Thomas and I know for sure I would like to participate in the Castaway Cay 5k since we will be in WDW leading up to the cruise for the Dark Side Challenge! Only 54 days til vacation starts and 59 days til the cruise!!

Hello!

We just booked yesterday! It'll be our 7th cruise! We are traveling with my husband and myself along with our two boys who will be 3 and 4 on the trip! Looking for an FE group to join; hoping it's not too late!
