Can't believe this cruise is so close. Will decide on Wed., after DH's doc appt., if he's keeping his jet-ski excursion for CC. At least that gives us the 'required time' by DCL to cancel before sailing.


Tonight I booked out Palo brunch ressie for our Aug. AK cruise. DH thought it was funny that I was worried about booking brunch when it's 4 months away and we have this cruise next week.

Hi Everyone,

Deb T I was really sorry to hear about your job. Please know that I am putting good wishes your way.

I am freaking, our move got pushed back to Thursday of last week due to some heavy truck load limit on road. My beautiful new house is in shambles and there is stuff EVERYWHERE. I have not got a clue, tried to get everyone packed last night unsuccessfully. We are leaving tomorrow to go visit my dad in sarasota first then Sat we make for cape canaveral. This is the most disorganized I have every been, no research, no combing over navigators, none of it for me this year!

Please let me reiterate for clarity. Big meet first day 2:00pm deck 13 forward right? Pershings club tour every night at 11:00. Teen or tween meet first day at 3:00? Cold and raining here in Maine today, I cannot wait to be in the warm weather.

Deb T you would be so proud of me, I layed down the "downsizing" law. We are going minimalist this trip and packing light!!!

Hope you all have a safe and healthy trip down and see you all on that gorgeous new boat!

Bridget - Hope Jacob is feeling better. I was telling Connor this morning that he wasn't feeling well and he thought that meant he wasn't going to be able to go on the trip! I reassured him he would be there.
I just signed up for the Mickey Call. How cool that Jacob liked it. I was disappointed that it wouldn't allow me to schedule one for Asia too. Every time I tried to put my parents phone number in I would get an error that said I already scheduled a call. I sent an email to the customer service but haven't heard back yet.
Yelena - Safe travels...can't wait to hear about WWoHP. I understand about K being younger. Connor is feeling the pain of not being old enough for the tween club. He really wants to meet up with everyone outside the Edge. When I reminded him that Asia would be there too...he wasn't happy. I think after the cruise gets going and he gets involved with at the kids club he will be fine and also happy to have Asia along. He gets a little embarrased that he has a seven year old aunt - even though they have a relationship like siblings.
Well I was 50% packed...then my Dad informed me last night he got crossbars and a hard top carrier for the trip. He wants stuff packed in a bag that is only for the cruise and won't be touched for the first three days. Now I have to go back through Connor's packed bag and pull out stuff that he will need for Universal and our stay overnight at the port. Thank goodness I hadn't put my stuff in a bag yet. It is all out and ready for the bag. Now I have to go through and repack. All FE stuff is going in the carrier - my Dad is already rolling eyes and saying "I don't even want to know".
I have three days of work this week and then we are off. I can barely concentrate and I have two IEP meetings today. Is it 4:00 yet??!!

Debbie, we have my daughter's IEP meeting tomorrow! That's is not an easy schedule for you! But think of the heat and warmth coming to us very soon!

I took yesterday off from packing to go surprise my mother and now I am soooo behind!! had a mental freakout last night when I found that the kdis passports expired last month!!!! But Bahamas we will be fine with birth certificates, but man, I thought I was going to have a mental breakdown! Stuff like this always happens to me because I do such extensive long range planning, the short range stuff gets losts on me!

It sounds like yesterday was a very stressful day in terms of travel plans: flights messed up, passports.... I called Comfort suits in paradise island to add our friends' son to our room so that he could join us in Atlantis. Their rep told me about $40 extra fee, but he did not tell me that he would be making a new reservation, so guess what.....our rate changed from $225 to $321 I only saw it when they sent me a new confirmation. I called and I called, spoke with two supervisors, had a mental breakdown .......but it does not look promising. They said it will take up to 5 days to investigate, listen to tape, and then possibly call the hotel and see if THEY would agree to honor our original rate I am over it by now, bs DH said we will dispute the difference in charges involving Am.Ex.

Debbie - I did the same with bags, all our cruise clothes, snorkel, etc, in a separate suitcase. It made it harder to pack,but easier at at leastour first stop. I FB you some info.

Well I just found out I have one meeting today - which so far is a no show! AND it's two meetings tomorrow. I don't even know my own schedule anymore! I am thinking of heat and warmth and finally getting to experience a cruise.
You can tell this is the week before break...I have had students in my office all morning with one behavior issue after another. I feel suspensions coming...
how many will there be by the time I leave on Wednesday?! Kind of glad I won't be here for Thurs or Fri!

Thanks so much for posting this. I tried to call on Saturday and was on hold so long, I hung up.

I got through late Saturday night - only on hold for about 5 minutes. DD saw Tron but not in 3-D and she said she can't wait to see it again!!!

We've called for movies before and the list they gave has been wrong in the past. Anymore I just wait until we are on the ship to see what movies are being offered.


I think I really need to think about packing. DH and DD have picked out their clothes but not me, I think I might do that this afternoon.

So anyone who is interested in having the tweens all going over to the edge at 3:00 should simply hang out at the 2:00 MEET and then can walk over together. Simple enough I'd think....

On another note, the only thing I need to print out and bring for check-in is the "Online Check-In Singature Form" and the actual cruise documents that were mailed to me, correct? I don't need to print out anything else and bring along with me, other than those 2 things (and of course, passports). I want to make sure I'm not missing anything here.....

THanks - PS, went to DR today to get Z-Pack for oncoming sinus infection. Best to nip it in bud now, right!?

Work is crazy busy and hectic!!!! So much work to do over the next 2 days but it will get finished and then I'll be home free. The stress will be over soon!! Getting a mani/pedi on Tuesday or Wednesday. I also have a few more things to pick up and then finish packing. 3 more sleeps and we're off.

So after spending the last 24 hours beating myself up about the flight mix-up I'm ready to move on, not much I can do about it now. Funny thing was I had every confirmation printed and in order of when we would need them except for the AA account since it went to my DH's email. Oh well!!!

I'm sure Noah would love to join everyone heading over to the Tween club, we still have to talk to a CM about having him move up, he will be 11 on April 23rd, the last night of our B2B so I'm pretty sure he won't have a problem.

Hard to believe after 18 months it's finally happening!!!!

3 more sleeps and we're off!!!
