The 25% off-time dining coupon:

They offered this couple during Christmas week as well. I have printed off a ocuple of them to use and then found they were all over the parks - on the time sheets and even printed on some register receipts.

Make sure you read the bottom of all receipts since they sometimes offer other coupons for shopping during certain hours and specific locations.

Yes they had the shopping coupons every day during our 4th of July trip in 2010. Used it a few times - good discount! I printed two of the dining coupons but do remember seeing the dining coupon too during 4th of July.

Well count me among the resort changer group...just changed my resort for WDW after cruise. I was club level at Poly and I am now club level at Beach Club. Why?? Because of the discount that starts on the 22nd and it was a tad better discount then Poly. Hope I don't regret this decision! Was really looking forward to Poly but have never stayed at Beach Club so... we'll see!!

Hey Debbie!! We stayed at Poly for a few nights on our last trip to the World. We booked on a discount which was nice and I figured we were just there for a few days so the splurge was worth it. The resort is very pretty and the volcano pool is awesome. We saw the fireworks from the beach, etc. All that said -- I am so happy I didn't pay rack rates to stay there. Although the monorail to MK is a fantastic perk, we wouldn't stay there again. We are looking toward the Beach Club area next trip (or maybe AK). I think the BC area is awesome with walking access to 2 parks and loads of restaurants to choose from and that pool looks fabulous. I think you made a great choice and saved some money too

Ok, question... I am assuming there is a possibility that some of the FE participants on the list that Deb sent maay, in fact, no longer choose to participate so we might have a few left over gifts? The only reason I even think that is because some of the names seem unfamiliar and haven't posted on the forum in quite a long time. I was just curious if we got to a door and there was nothing hanging outside, do we assume they changed their mind and, as Dionne Warwick (who is mean on the apprentice, btw) says, "walk on by"?

Great question... and the answer is no. Actually, this question also brings up two scenarios that we should be aware of...

First, to answer your question... Dear 'Ole Deb T. is like a Mother Hen who's been keeping watch over her chicks. We have a lot of friends who are shy, folks. Of our lengthy list of participants, I've heard from all of them at least as recently as the end of February, so we can assume everyone is still onboard (pun intended).

Sooooo, if you come across a cabin without a FE, please check with me. You can check my cabin door or feel free to call or text on the fancy Wave phone.

And this brings me to the second issue... and this is important! Please be aware that not everyone who hangs a FE outside their door is part of our group!!! I've seen this on 3 cruises... where there are real FE's hanging outside cabins who just aren't on our list of participants! *gasp!* There are other cruise boards who arrange similar "Secret Santa" exchanges and there are large families/groups who will also often set up an exchange of their own.

Sooooo, PLEASE be sure to print the list of participants and tuck it in with your FE gifts so it's handy when you deliver your surprises. If you see anything fishy (again, pun intended! ahhh, I crack myself up sometimes! ) please be sure to check with me!

I will break the code of silence and let you all know that normally I organize the wrist band orders for Dis meet groups and we all share the costs but this time, I realized how important they were and how silly it was to do that and not just provide them for everyone!

So everyone will be getting a DIS green silicone wrist band to wear and in this way we will easily be able to spot each other on the ship!! It really was the only way I could identify people on any of my cruises and start conversations out at the pool or at shows even after we had all shared pictures of each other - I never could quite get the names and DIS names straight in my head... which I am sure everyone else, other than our intrepid leaders, are similarly struggling with.

So, I will get these out on the first day of the cruise for everyone in the large and small FE group, so we can get them right on!!

I know exactly how you feel! I just bagged and tagged the last of the FE packages. Yes, its an entire carry on suitcase when all was said and done, but I'm thrilled with how everything turned out.

DH just asked, "Why do you make so much extra work for yourself?" Um, yeah, go ahead and add him to the doesn't get it list. Now I'm off to study...

That is a terrific idea! Thanks so much for doing that. It will make it so much easier to identify each other during the cruise!

My FE's are finally finished and ready to be packed. I am so exicted I could burst!

Wow! Great idea!! I did the best thing to organize, bag and tag all the FE's...I brought all the finished products to my mom, with the lists and labels and had her finish it all. She has been putting it all together for the the past two weeks and I think she finished today. Hmmm, pretty smart of me - I think!
I am toast and ready for bed already on a Saturday night. I was up at 5:30am to take Connor to a local elementary school where his Taekwondo Demo team did three Demo's throughout the mornning and the Connor participated in a one mile fun run. He did that as part of Leadership team and was there to cheer on and motivate the runners while he was running! It was freezing cold but lots of fun. Tomorrow it is up early and out again because Connor has endurance day - lots of running, push ups, sit ups, and other insane exercises for three hours. He has to pass endurance day as part of his black belt test. Tomorrow is just a practice, get to know it day - his real endurance day is the end of July, since his Black Belt test is scheduled for the end of August.

Small vent coming...I'm pretty much sick to death of all of the negatives written about the Dream. The reports of crowds kinda take the wind out of my sails. Anyone else feel this way?? I try not to read them but sheesh... it's a little frustrating. Maybe it's better to have some apprehensions before we cruise. For our Wonder cruise, we had such high expectations of certain things that although good or great, fell a little flat compared to the hype, KWIM? Half of me is so pumped for this trip and the other half is just a little nervous. This is our big vacation this year and I just want it to be awesome.

Bridget - it will be AWESOME! because we are such a great group and just that will make it very special! don't worry about the crowds; yes, there will be crowds but Disney will do their best organizing us and we will try to concentrate on all the positive! First of all - no patients to see these 4 days, no notes writing, no aggravating phone calls from permanently unhappy people, no cooking, no cleaning, no laundry - JUST FUN, FUN, FUN, with lots of people and lots of new friends.

You can make Disney dining ressies online now which makes it so much easier to find a place. You can pick what type of places you are looking for, or by location, and all open choices will appear. I find that easier to do than to think which place I want and then go to book it and find that it's unavailable.

There are plenty of places where you are staying, not sure I'd want to drive over to Disney at that time of night just for dinner but that's just me. There's also many places along I-Drive and even up towards the outlets and the mall where Bass Pro Shop is.

I was thinking about it today - I think, you are right, it makes more sense to eat where we are staying. I guess, I got excited we are staying an extra night and that we might have an opportunity to eat at Disney one night : Thank you for letting me know about dining ressies online, may be on our way there I will check what they have available. Any place would be good, right?

Ingenius idea. At least when we see the green bands we can give a friendly "Hey there. Hi there. Ho there." in the Disney spirit. Even if we can't remember everyone's names. (Kind of like first day of school . Lots of new faces to match with names, but only in 4 days. Not too much pressure on those of us who have problems remembering names. )

yesterday I got alot accomplished for the cruise. My Mom works at JC Penney and she took us shopping yesterday. I got my son shorts for 13.00! and the rest of us got a few things. I have everything I need to finish my FE's and my youngest got started packing!
I keep checking flight prices and praying for a miracle but so far no luck. We went to dinner last night at a restaurant 15 minutes from my house and the kids were driving me crazy in the car!! How am I going to survive 24 hours??!!

Anyone have any idea how long the zip tie should be to secure the FE? I wasn't sure what sea creature (fish or seahorse) we might get and if that would require a longer (shorter) zippy thingie.
