April 17, 2011 on the Dream

My 16½ DD wouldn't mind using a gift card like that. She would look at it as 'free' money and wouldn't care about the pic on it.

Booked Palo brunch, couples spa villa and DH the jetski excursion at midnight.
I didn't need to book Remy, but did take a peek and some of the times were already blocked out by 12:25am. The times for booking Remy are very strange - they start out at 20 minute intervals and then go down to 10 minute intervals.

I love knowing that we can personalize the card with a picture:)My 16 year old granddaughter will think it's ok...Ok, I just ordered one and I had her last Disney visit picture put on it...from 3 years ago...she will just smile and wonder how I did it...thanks to you:)

I was up at midnight, too, booking a Palo dinner. :thumbsup2 It should be free for us since I am Platinum! :woohoo: I booked 6pm on the last night so we can also experience our regular 8:30 dinner rotation restaurant. We don't want to miss a thing!! Hopefully, we can go to the 5pm show that night. If not, we'll catch it on the next sailing of our B2B! :)

Didn't book any excursions or spa treatments.

Was able to book Palo for 11:00am, mid-morning yesterday. When I booked, I noticed that brunch at 10:00 and 10:30 was already showing as unavailable for online bookings. I didn't even look at Remy, since we want to enjoy the new dining rooms, and I am not going to pay $75 per person for dinner. Instead, we're going to splurge and book a cabana, which the Concierge team is supposed to do tomorrow.

Wow, you guys have been busy with your bookings :thumbsup2. We may do Palo but haven't decided yet. I still have a little ways to wait before we can book but we are already PIF :goodvibes. Just waiting, um, patiently for a room number :rolleyes1.

I booked brunch for 10:30, I'm glad I was on when I was to be able to get that time.

We had brunch comp'd this past summer for being Platinum - here's hoping they still do that. We had gone to dinner at Palo earlier in the cruise, but another couple paid for our dinner that night and they didn't take our cabin numbers. We weren't real thrilled with dinner, but I think that was partly due to our server whom we ended up with for brunch as well and that was in the private room :headache: .

We were torn between dinner and brunch, but then we learned that it is supposed to be only dinner that is a Platinum benefit. However, I've also heard several times where people were able to switch it to brunch, like you did. We did brunch last July on our Baltic cruise, but haven't done a Palo dinner since 1999, so we thought we might as well give it a try again since it'll be free for us. If for some reason we don't like our dinner ( :rotfl2: ) or the chocolate souffle ( :lmao: ) we'll have our 8:30pm regular dinner rotation to fall back on. :rotfl:

Now we have to decide what to do on our second cruise of the B2B. I can book that Palo reservation tomorrow night. But, our DD and her DFiance are also going to be on that cruise. DD is Gold and her DFiance is a first-timer, so neither qualify for a free Palo meal. We aren't sure if we should just let the two of them have our reservation, or if we should book dinner for all four of us and just pay the extra $40. Hmmmmm, it will be only 5 more weeks until their wedding... maybe they will need a quite dinner alone! ;)

Deb it's a shame you didn't book you in your DD's cabin so both cabins would get free Palo and the rest of the Platinum benefits. We did that for the Baltics cruise, put DD in our friends cabin so they got the Platinum benefits - including Palo even tho DD is under 18.
Actually there is still time for you to move people around since it's long before the name change policy comes into effect.

Actually, I'm the only Platinum member in the group. DH had to cancel on two of our spring break cruises at the last minute due to business, so I went ahead and did those cruises alone both times! :) I've already told him in no uncertain terms that he will NOT miss our April B2B cruises!!! :rotfl: After these two cruises, he will be Platinum and then we will definitely do some creative booking in the future! :cool2:

Is April ever gonna get here?????? I am SO READY for this cruise!! :yay:

Well Deb at least you were thinking along the same lines if your DH hadn't gone and messed up his status. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: My DH is also 2 cruises behind DD & I but that's because he was home working while we were in FL playing and booking last minutes cruises.

Great minds think alike!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and/or family celebration. :grouphug:

Happy Holidays to all!!!:santa:
I am done with our annual X-mas Eve party - more than 44 people came. We had lots of fun, especially when Santa :santa: visited us bringing presents to all our kids (ages from 5 to 20) and to adults. Everyone had to "entertain" Santa to get their present, so we had lots of dancing, singing, piano and guitar playing, charades, funny games, poem reading in different languages, and more. It was lots of fun, especially when Santa was dancing "belly dance" and pilllows started falling out one by one :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:. Adults and kids were rolling on the floor laughing. My movie was finished on time (its my longest, about 40 min long, with 9 sections plus an extra section with pics from last NY celebration accompanied by song sang by my very talented niece).
It's very cold here now - blizzard conditions, with 14+" of snow to fall by the morning. Perfect time to be a couch potato and to catch up on boards
Enjoy this beautiful holiday season!:santa:

Hello All and Happy Holidays...
Well the secret is out...yeah!! Asia and Connor were so excited about the cruise. There were lots of tears (from Adults) during the reveal and then their enthusiasm after was priceless... My mom and I got great videos and pictures. The best part was my son thinking out loud during the reveal as he was putting the clues together. They had a cruise itinerary and the after cruise Polynesian details. So Connor looks at us and says "Wait a minute... we are taking a cruise to the Polynesian!" :rotfl: We finally got him and Asia on the right path. They had to put a puzzle partially together, then open a gift with more clues, then go back and finish the puzzle to get the whole reveal. It was awesome!
Now that my Mom and I can openly talk about this I am even more excited.
Come on April!
Escaped NJ yesterday morning before the snow hit hard. Got back to MD before the roads got too bad. However, crossing the Bay Bridge with all that wind and snow was not fun!
Keep warm!!
Debbie
