The teen area on the Dream will be all the way forward on deck 5 and it is called "Vibe". It will have both an indoor and outdoor area. If you picture where the crew pool is on the current ships, that's the area where it will be.

Our DS wasn't impressed with either the Stack (Magic) or Aloft (Wonder), so he hasn't spent much time in either one. I'm hoping he will find Vibe more to his liking.

OUr DD hasn't like Stack or Aloft either. She's really liking the looks of Vibe and all they have to offer.

My son said the counselors were one of the biggest reasons why hanging out with the teens was so fun. The counselors really got that group of kids to be close. It was the podcast cruise and I was worried he was going to want to do stuff with me when the podcast stuff was going on....and I barely saw him the whole cruise. In fact, I had to hunt him down once to do a pre-planned family thing.

I'll have to check out all the Disney Dream info! I saw the youtube video of the slide but that's really it. Normally I'm all over this stuff, but haven't had time to feed my Disney addiction lately. Except to come to grips with the fact that we had to skip 2010!

First I have to work on getting passports for the kids and renewing mine! Last cruise was the end of using birth certs. I'm sure this is going to be another paperwork process.

I taking my God Daughter on this cruise for her 18th birthday and grad gift. She will be 17 at the time of the cruise. This will be her 1st cruise and my 6th. Anyone planning on doing FE on this cruise? Never done FE and would love to play this time. Already making the FE gifts.

Welcome aboard, Cathy! FE exchanges are so much fun! I've organized them on four of our cruises and would be more than happy to volunteer to organize this one, too, unless someone else wants to. Just let me know....

Hey to all the newbies!! We did the FE last time but will pass this time. It was great fun, so cool for the girls to come back and find goodies... but it made packing difficult. I try to pack lightly since Daddy isn't along to help. I made CD's of Disney Music for all the adults.... and did movie theater candy and Steelers pencils for the kids, but ended up with the small suitcase full of FE stuff. While that was fantastic, trying to get it home and needing my little one to pull it till we got it checked at the airport was hard!!

I did book the three night before hand. I don't know, I am not convinced I want to do it, but the kids are.... so figured I would lock into the price now. Since our winter was so horrendous, have extra money right now! so if we change our minds, can get the deposit back and just put it towards the final payment of this cruise. Two Castaway Cays does sound enticing. We would likely take a break from cruising for a couple of years too... so will see. We have lots of timeto decide.

Good job on the roster, Ness2289! So, looks like Ness2289 will keep a roster and I'll organize a FE Exchange! This cruise is going to be so much fun!


For anyone who's new to the Fish Extender Exchange, here's what it's all about:

Beside every cabin door is a large silver fish with an indentation in the back for cruise personnel to leave information, invitations, etc.

DISboarders have taken the silver fish one step further... by creating hanging pockets (much like cloth letter holders) to hang from the fish - thus the name, "Fish Extender". The Fish Extenders (FEs) can be made of practically anything (cloth, plastic, paper gift bags, etc.), as long as they have at least one pocket that can hold surprises. My FE is just a plain little canvas bag. I'd love to have a "real" FE like some of the creative DISers have sewn, but I've never taken the time to attempt to make one.

Then, each "Cruise Meets" thread (such as this 4-17-11 one) organizes a little gift exchange during the cruise. People sign up by giving their cabin number, names of everyone in their cabin, and ages of the kids so that everyone will know how many goodies to bring and where to deliver them. Some people give one gift per family, some people give a little gift to each person. It's totally up to the giver to decide what to give and when to give it during the cruise.

There are several threads that discuss ideas for FE gifts. Some gifts are from Dollar Stores, some are handmade, and some are bought in bulk from websites that sell trinkets like the Oriental Trading Company. Often, they are stickers, candy, glow sticks, lanyards, etc., with themes such as pirates, beach, cruise, tropical, hometown, holiday, etc. The main idea is just to have fun finding little goodies in your FE throughout the cruise. Kids LOVE running back to their cabin to see if anything's been left in their FE. As an adult, I have to admit that I love it, too!!!

If you'd like to join in on the fun on our cruise, please let me know. Since some people travel earlier in the week prior to a cruise, we should close the list by April 1, 2011 to give everyone time to purchase gifts and pack them. You'll also need to print the final list of participants and pack it with your gifts so you'll know where to deliver them once you're onboard the ship.

Hi everyone, I'm just waiting for the school calendar and then we're booking this one!!!!! We usually get the week off before Easter for Spring Break, so this would fit the bill!!!! We'll be doing 3 days after at WDW for our own land/sea!!!! We'll be myself 41, DH 41, DD almost 13 and DS 10.

You might want to check availability now and not wait until the school calendar is released. Availiability is getting limited, and I was looking for a family of 3. I booked this last week after learning our spring break was changed from the week after Easter to this week due to Easter being so late in the month.

Ok, but I was looking at getting a non-connecting cabin and they are really limited. I wanted a cat. 8D and ended up booking a cat. 4D and it was cheaper than the 8D I have reserved on the Easter Sunday sailing.
