Sure...now the poster west of the Mississippi comes out of the woodwork to brag about their weather. :grouphug:
I think we should all box up some snow and ship it your way. :thumbsup2

I hadn't heard about that storm yet. Do you know which way it's supposed to be coming from?
Happy thought....warm thoughts.....no snow thoughts...... :cutie:

They said two will merge together: I believe, one is coming from so-west and another from so-east; it looked like they are moving on diagonal and merge right over us. But that was said as os yesterday.....
Happy no snow day today!

Just a delay for us this morning. Going a little stir crazy, so glad it wasnt another cancel. Although, Not thrilled with another storm Friday possibly.... have a girl scout even that night that I cant make the reschedule date on, and my oldest is going to be bummed.

A question for you and your DH::confused:
Where do they do parasailing: near the ship or in a bay/ lagoon? I booked it too for all three of us for the first part of our cruise (11 am as well:thumbsup2), but I am a little concerned about being on a small boat for 45 min if waters are choppy

Maybe this will help. He had to meet them near the ship, then they drove by in a smaller boat:

I took this one with no zoom. DD1 and I were standing on the Magic watching:

So it's not too far away. DH loved it so much, he kept commenting how peaceful it was. There were 4 other DIS members on there with him so they all took photos of each other on the boat while sailing, taking off and descending down on the boat. We all shared our photos once we got home and it was neat to see that excursion from the eyes of others.

Man, I miss that beautiful blue water!!

Leaking windows...sounds familiar. If these snow days keep accumulating, this cruise may not happen with our April school vacation taken away. No more snow!!!

Hang in there snow people! :wizard: Disney's around the bend!

I feel so bad for those of you getting so much snow. The rain washed whatever snow we had on the ground away. Now it's just slushy puddles. Snow would actually be prettier!

Thanks for all the clothes suggestions. I found some great men's bathing suits in JC Penny Clearance and some cargo shorts (must be cargo, must go past the knee or it won't fly) at Drjays.

The boys are wearing plaid :confused3 PLAID! shorts like golfing plaid but in cargo form. Bright colors too. Yuck! Oh, well whatever..

Anyone else watch the christening today. :worship::wizard: They picked my birthday to christen the ship! Now, I'll always know the answer to that should it be a trivia question in some form on the ship. :rotfl2:

I think they are replaying it at www.disneycruiselineevents.com/dcl2011

Thank you so much for posting those! That helps a lot!:flower3:
We parasailed in Hilton Head 2 years ago. It was a beautiful experience. DD is begging to do it again (she is willing to pay her own, saved, money ); I told her we are keeping our reservations (i will pack some Bonine for myself, just in case :cutie:)

I know exactly what you mean "past the knee or won't go" :lmao:. Our DS would not let my DH leave the room if HIS were above the knees, as it was "too embarrassing" :worship::rotfl2: Funny, now that DS is older, he does not care much about what his dad wears and "borrows" his clothes, especially shirts, very often :cutie:

I thought of you when I saw this Land's End sales event. Just in case you still need any more clothes, check out this link:

This is the only full version video (it's part 2) that works on my computer. I was not able to watch the one posted on FB link or the one from disneycruiseline.com.
I have to admit - a few tears dropped...OK, not a few...., a lot...., but all of happiness and excitement :cutie: :goodvibes

:rotfl::rotfl:I have never seen "real" snow..a little bit of snow way up in the mountains but that's probably nothing;) not enough to make a snowman.

Hello All...not looking forward to the possible snow Friday...I have plans to visit my parents in NJ for the weekend!! My mom and I have some major trip planning to do!! NO SNOW....NO SNOW...NO SNOW!
I have two question -
Because I have been down and out for the last 24 hours with a horrendous UTI, I started thinking what would happen if this happened on the cruise??!! :confused3 Do they have a doctor onboard who can prescribe antibiotics??

We have been trying to decided if I should try to get us a Palo reservation. I know there is a brunch and dinner but I read something about a High Tea. Do they do this on the Dream? Is that something you reserve ahead of time?

I have to find some way to make a planning sheet for this cruise. I have an awesome WDW Excel spreadsheet that I have fine tuned over the years, but it is not going to work for a cruise...Hmmmm :rolleyes1

Yelena thanks for posting the link to Land's End. :thumbsup2 My cart now has over $250 worth of clothes!! Lots of great bargains. I love to shop ahead for Connor. I found a coat and snow pants for next year.

We have had first-hand experience with DCL's sick bay and doctor. :rolleyes1 So, I can for sure confirm that you'd be in good hands should you have any medical problem onboard. :thumbsup2

Soooooo, why did we have to go to sick bay, you might ask? Well, it was on our 2nd DLC cruise, first time on the Wonder, way back in 1998. We were at lunch, and before I noticed, DD (15yo at the time) was attempting to slice open a hard roll while holding it in her left hand instead of with it on a plate, or table, or any other hard surface. Need I finish the story? ;)

Fast forward to Christmas that year, and one of the boys she'd met in the teen club sent an unexpected gift to her. What could it be? A knife from DCL! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We have been trying to decided if I should try to get us a Palo reservation. I know there is a brunch and dinner but I read something about a High Tea. Do they do this on the Dream? Is that something you reserve ahead of time?

High Tea and Palo Brunch are only held on sea days. Since there's only one sea day on a 4-night, those ressies are very difficult to snag online prior to the cruise. However, don't get discouraged if you don't get it now... you will have another opportunity to try to get one as soon as you board the ship. And if you still don't get it then, you can go on a waiting list. :thumbsup2 Be advised, though, that you can only reserve a dinner OR a lunch online.

Hi Debbie,
Have fun shopping! :lmao: :surfweb: :thumbsup2:

There is a doctor on board but I am not sure about the selections of meds they have on board. They are trained to provide first aid and determine if condition is serious or could wait until disembarkation. I believe, there is also an extra charge for their services.
Some make fun of me :rotfl:, but I am known for overpacking  :worship:; and every year I have a designated BAG filled with medications, including antibiotics and UTI test strips for instant testing as my DD has a history of bladder/kidney infection. Other basics I pack (adult and kids versions of each :cutie: : motrin, tylenol, mylanta, tums, peptobismol, cough and allergy medicine, eye drops, ear drops, ban-aids, neosporin, benadryl, bonine, wrist bracelets (seasickness), creams ag. sunburns, cortisone, etc....:scared1:
I know the comment that usually comes after a post like this.........go ahead and knock on my door if you are in need of any meds :rotfl: :grouphug:

Also, I hope you purchased travel insurance that includes coverage for medical expenses. If not, the best place to shop is insuremytrip.com. You can compare coverage and costs from different providers.

I hope snow would bypass us......:rolleyes1 but I could use a stay home day as i finally caught a cold  Every single child I worked with last week was sick and my body could not resist it anymore....:sad2:

Yes - you need reservations for High Tea. I never had it, but noticed that nothing was available for reservations already. I would like to hear from others if they tried High Tea before and what it's about

PS Deb T. - you are so fast! :thumbsup2. I did not see your post when I started typing mine
 Were you charged for your medical troubles? was it covered by your trip insurance?
