April 17, 2004 -- anyone going with us?

Promenade Lounge is on the Port side - the best side to do the SailAway from is the Starboard side since we can wave to the "landlubbers"!

Promenade is close to the Internet area and elevators, so we can have a quick meet and greet there if it rains or just above it on the deck near the Goofy pool (middle pool) on the Starboard side!
It does get loud and crowded there! So it's hard to make quiet conversation.

Another place that was recommended was outside the Vista Spa - large area and quieter.

But I will go with the majority of voters!!

Rae

Just a suggestion, if it's sunny......... what about doing the DIS meet on deck 10, starboard side, right above either the adult pool (quieter) or above the Goofy pool? That way we wouldn't have far to go to the sail away party, or we can have our own mini version up there and wave to everyone at Grills on our way by.

Rae..... I had a feeling way back in October that this would be popular with those of us in New England. I think we better put a timer on the lights up here, just to make sure they get shut off when we all leave!

Ed

ED, sounds good to me! Just consider the others as rain alternatives!

Rae

Changed the name of the cruise - since no one will be in New England that week!

Rae

Luv2Dream............ I would call them tomorrow (Tuesday 2/17), especially if you want to go on one of the excursions with limited availability. The number is 877-566-0968.

I plan on being on the phone first thing in the morning.

Ed

Outahere,

Thanks. What time do they open? 8am or 7am? Lynn

IS this our race?!

Okay, I'm in - but do faxes count?!!!

I'm going with the Trunk Bay at St. Johns.
Still undecided about St. Marten.....

Rae

Lynn,

I just called the number and they told me they are open from 8:00am to 10:00pm weekdays, and 8:00am to 8:00pm on weekends. All Eastern times..........

Ed

Oh, Ed, that is too funny. I just called the number also and talked to Ginny and she told me the same thing. She said to call early because the Dolphin excursion goes fast. I told her, no problem, 8am it is. Thanks Ed for your help. Lynn

Rae, you best be calling in at 8am. No faxes. Who knows what will happen with those? DCL said its the fastest fingers who win. I laughed. Lynn

Ed - you just crack me up! Gotta love a person go goes to the source!!!

Now you can take on Donna at the rebooking desk if we don't hear anything between now and 4/17 about the May-September "SPECIAL" 2005 cruises!!!!

Rae

you just crack me up! Gotta love a person go goes to the source!!!

Rae........ I learned that technique years ago, probably in the Air Force. No sense taking a chance on bogus information!! I really hate looking like a fool.

OK........... next project........... Donna.............

Fastest fingers win ehhhh?

What about a midnight fax?! Okay, I'll stop!

Not sure about the dolphin swim though - still thinking on it. Looks good but.....will have to wait and get a family vote tonight on it.

Rae

I have a question about the excursions for St. Thomas. Has anyone done the Atlantis Submarine Adventure? We are thinking about doing this & then snorkling at CC.

I'm so excited, I think my mom is going to be going with us! This is our second cruise & her first. We didn't know about the shrimp the first time, but now I'm hoping you will share a couple w/me.

Rock on shrimplovers!

We'd better warn the Magic now that they are going to be out of shrimp by the end of embarkation the way we are going!!!

Rae

Hi Everyone,

You go off to work and the world starts posting.

M&CKing-- we did the submarine on the western cruise. The only thing I would reccomend is to get the morning trip. We did the afternoon one and by the time we got to the submersion area the light was beginning to go. We felt that we would have seen more if we had been there in the morning.

I will be on the phone at 8:05 AM. I figure all you people will be trying at 8 soooo I'll wait a few minutes and then call while you are all muttering about the lines being busy...

I think pretty much anywhere is a good place to have the meet and greet. I will be wearing a lime green shirt I think. First I have to see if I can order it. I saw one in a catalogue and figured it would be a good buy. So that is something else to do tomorrow. I figure that I better get busy and order anything I feel a great pressing need for now since I don't want to have to worry about it not arriving in time.

Rae-- I tend to agree that Artists Palette isn't my favorite of the restaurants. I would like to have Jen, Alan and John see it the first time. The change is quite unique. Also would you add us to your list for the High Tea, please. I know Jen and Alan are interested and if I just don't mention it to Phil until we are almost to the time he'll be okay with it too.

Off to visit the treadmill. Have been bad this weekend because I wasn't feeling at all up to walking for 15 minutes straight. But my excuse is gone with the wind. Talk to you later Estelle

Okay you guys, I guess I'll have to get up early to beat you to the phones - I'm on central time so it is 7:00 am for me. Good thing I go to work early!!

And there will be at least two southerners joining all you Northeasterners!! We can be pretty fun also!!

Anyone interested in Mardi Gras beads?? They are usually a big hit with folks, but if you've never seen them they may not interest you.

Take care, let the dialing fingers begin!!

Yippee! We got all our excursions. Dolphin tour in St. Martin. My husband is golfing in St. Thomas . Mary and I are going to Sapphire Beach. Yes, we'd LOVE some Mardi Gras beads!

Ok, it is really me (lsutigger2), I'm at work now but wanted to report the happy news!!
I have fast diailing fingers also. DH and I got all of the excursions we wanted. He'll golf (with luv2dream's DH??) at St. Thomas, I'll do St. John Island Tour, Island Tour and Explorer Cruise at St. Maarteen, and YIKES! I've signed us up for parasalining at CC!!

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

And I made to work on time - not that it matters - I am the "boss" as my staff reminds me from time to time!!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Got hung up in traffic this morning and got in a little late. If I could have remembered the number, I was ready to get on the cell phone while I was just sitting in the parking lot that they call a road! When I did call, I ended up on hold for about 10 minutes, but was able to get the Atlantis Submarine (10:15) in St. Thomas. That was the only one we wanted, so I'm glad we were able to get it. Anyone else going on that one?

60 days!!!!!!!!! I didn't think it was ever going to get here!!

I'm still trying to get through! I think I'll just have to sit here for a few more minutes on hold!!!

Impossible to do this and successfully homeschool, and you know what is taking preference in our lives!

If it's meant to be, they will answer the phone before Michael's 15 minute break is up!!!
