April 13th cruise

Less than two weeks until we go on the Magic, and I was wondering if any castaway members have requested a waiter they had before and if this can be done by phone or on board? Also anyone else going on the cruise Aprill 13th?? We are getting really excited to go, my DS11 has been talking about this cruise since we left the ship last April. He is going out of his mind wiht excitement.

Hi. We are on the cruise as well. My son is almost 11 and my dd is 9. They are so excited!!!! Did your son do the kids club and did he like it? My kids are curious to know. Can't wait.

My son is also 11y/o and last year he went to the programs sometimes, but found them too structured for him and his 12 y/o friend he meet. They hung out all the time day and night, webrought along our walkie talkies and stayed in contact. This allowed me free time and him to have some space. It depends on what you kids are like, if they like camp type activities with a counselor then they will love the groups, but if they are indepenant and like to do things at their own pace then there are plenty of friends and so much for them to do on board. We had the rule that we would meet before dinner and get dressed then go the shows, before and after that it was free time. If it wasn't for the Disney atmostphere and all the friends he meet, I never would have let him out of my sight. However this arrangement made for a great trip. Of course on the islands we spent the day together. Any other questions i would be happy to answer.

WE are on this cruise too!! THere are 17 of us in my party(4-families). We had a great thread going a few weeks ago with a number of other families posting as well. We have 8 adults and 9 children . Girls ages:17,16,13,12,11,10 and Boys:14,11,and 8. We are all very EXCITED! Myself and one other family did the Wonder 4-day in July 2000 and loved it. Joan S.

We too are on the 4/13 7 day Magic. Even though we booked in January, we still have not told our kids (ds amost 11 and dd almost 7). We are going to send them a Disney email postcard the morning of the 12th. It is the genie from Aladan. He comes out of the bottle and says.... Your wishes have come true..... we will then ask them if they want to join us on the cruise. Yes we will have our video camera ready. I know their teachers will not like us very much because they will not get anything done that day. Oh well, they need to have some excitement too! We are so excited! See you all there!!!!
