April 12 reservations - post updates here

No, I'm not having that issue. We had used one of our tickets pre-pandemic, booked a reservation for 6/12 this morning, and when I go back in I can still make a reservation for any other day that's available (looks like they're currently only booking through 6/28).
Thanks. Hmm. cancelled and retried. not taking anything more than 13 days - acting like a regular multi-day ticket.

montreid I'm having the same issue as you... reserved for May 30 and can't book anything beyond June 12 right now.

With standard multi-days - tickets that had one day of use had the 13-day restriction taken away (which would cover what happened to fac429). Unused tickets didn't.

I'd wager that they accidentally stuck the So Cal passes in with the standard multi-day passes on the back end.

Yeah - my bet too on that -- have a 'chat window' open for last four hours, but still nada.

I say call Disney ASAP. I'm reading about other people on Facebook having the same issue. One person called Disney and the CM said they haven't been getting reports of the issue so more people need to report it to escalate it quickly.

I agree it sounds like at least some of the SoCal tickets got categorized incorrectly.

What would be the recommendations for us fellow Disneylanders to follow on the wider park reservation start date April 15? Whet time PDT, web page or app, etc.

thanks so much, and congrats to those who got their reservations!

I do wonder if the tickets are directly linked to the reservations or not. for WDW, the reservation is NOT tied directly to a specific ticket -- you can swap the tickets out in priority usage at MS to designate which ticket to use.

I do wonder if this is the same with DL side as I see the reservation actually calling out the last four ticket -- which is NOT what WDW reservations do.

QR code appears tied to the reservation only as specifically says ticket needs to be presented with the QR code. -- but clearly states associated ticket.

Disclaimer: I do not have existing tickets so I did not get a reservation today.

My plan is to go into the “queue before the queue” for reservations at 7am and then open up the ticket page separately. I am hoping by the time I purchase my tickets, it will be my turn in the queue to make a reservation. It doesn’t sound like the two systems are linked so each step will not be connected to the other.

Thank you!! I can see them both when I click the link. Whew. Panicked for a bit. Btw, we will be there the 30th too! (In case anyone is concerned we live in NorCal) so super excited!!!!

Join early and have multiple screens open. My tickets were linked but it wouldn’t let me reserve on the website. I was able to complete it through the app.

Really.....what harm did the poster do ! Newsom is the one who said June 15th. This poster booked days after that date. Are out of state fans supposed to wait until June 15th and hope that all reservations have not been taken by locals for the entire summer season ? Worst case they cancel their reservation.

Since you have to attest that you are a California resident in order to even make a reservation, telling people to get around the residency requirement by just clicking “yes” is against the rules of this board. Not following the rules of the board gets threads like this locked. Please follow the rules when a moderator asks you to so we can keep this discussion open. If and when all the requirements are lifted, there will be more space available in the parks and more reservations will become available.

If they're following Disney's rules (which this board enforces), yes, they're supposed to wait.

Newsom's statement said "might", and made no mention of the out-of-state restrictions.

As far as out-of-staters are concerned, everything we know about June 15th is pure speculation.

If you want to do it - have at it - but just know that the board mods don't want you to post about it. So don't post about it.

If everything's already done - it's pretty clear that there weren't that many tickets out there waiting to be used. Really smart for them to use this to soft launch the reservation system - might be a hopeful sign for Thursday.
Or we have tickets, but are going to wait until Halloween season to try and go. I'm glad this "soft launch" seemed to go quite smoothly, though, and that every day appears to still have availability.
Is anyone else having trouble linking tickets that expired last year or this year? I know the expiration date was extended, but the app nor website is recognizing them. I talked with a CM on Friday and they mentioned these tickets would work today. But no luck.
I had (3rd party) tickets that I bought last February with an original expiration date of January 2021, but I was able to successfully link them this weekend using the website. My tickets are still only visible on the app and not the website, though.

I didn't even notice that about my so cal hoppers, as I only booked the 30th & 1st. Just went back in to try for June dates and they are doing the same thing. Sent an email with details. We'll see...thanks for the heads up.

The answer is yes. You are supposed to wait until out of state people are given the go ahead to make reservations.

I didnt finalize them, but as an AZ resident with tickets, I got to the last step to make the reservations for Memorial Day weekend easily with no wait at about 10AM

All right, I give up !

I don't think the poster intended to stir any pots and it was not my intention either.

I recommend trying on multiple devices if possible (laptop, phone, etc.). Also use multiple browsers per device if you can (Chrome, Firefox, etc.). I used "incognito" or "private" browsing modes, because that is what a Disney CM had told me a few days ago. I don't know if it does anything or not.

After I got through the queue one time, it asked me to log in again, and then it took me back to the Disneyland homepage. I thought I lost my place in line. But I was able to click back into the "park reservations" page, and make my reservation. I did not lose my place. So I don't recommend refreshing your browser, or anything like that.

Overall, it was a little nerve wracking, but it actually went smoother than I thought it would. Best of luck to everyone on the 15th!
