We're not on the email list, but would like to be.
Thanks.
Gina

Okie dokie---pm me your child's name, age and email address. I know you've given it to me, but when I am looking at the private messages, I start getting confused by the real names versus the handles on here. LOL!

I will forward the first email Gabi sent---way to go Gabi.

Deb

My dh is also coming to the aquarium. Do you want to meet by the seals? Did we set a firm time? Should we all carry a red rose? LOL!! Just Kidding.

There is a really fun thing online at maps . live . com (no spaces). You can see bird eye views of almost anywhere. We even checked out Universal to show my son Seuss Land. I showed the kids my old neighborhood and where my grandparents lived. It was fun to share some stories with them--"This is the route I walked to swim practice every morning" or "This is where your dad and I met".

Deb

I usually use Google Earth but I will check out that other one. Gabi likes to look at the Eiffel Tower and stuff like that ... Statue of Liberty. We have fun looking at stuff.

I think we tossed out the time of 1pm so that we could all have lunch eaten by then and be ready for an afternoon of fun. I cannot for the life of me remember what the front entrance area looks like but maybe after we pay, we could meet somewhere close to that? Maybe someone who has a more recent knowledge of the inside can chime in with some insight! Cindy!!!

Well, the official color of the DIS is lime green so maybe we can do something with that!

I was just at there recently and I think the Seal area would be a great place to meet. It has the most space and light!!!! Looking forward to meeting everybody:) 1:00 works for us.

Just making sure spam didn't get ahold of the emails.

The Aquarium went through some major changes in the past 5 years--mostly to the outside. There is now a parking garage across from the aquarium. There are still two entrances, but the Northern side is the big, main entrance. If you park in the garage, then you will be by that entrance.

Can't wait---1 oclock it is.

Ok gang, I have the email listings for the kids ready to go. Here are the parent names I have so far. If you don't see yours and you want to or you see yours and you don't, pm me. I tried to grab them all.

9/10 year olds:

Kellydizfan
Skuba2
cvspsych
cindy1
with 2 more possibles I am emailing directly for permission.

13/14 year olds:

Kellydizfan (2)
Cindy1
motherofsons (he is the only boy if he doesn't mind. My daughter doesn't care)
Skuba2
with 1 more possible that I am emailing directly for permission

Those seem like good groups. I will email from my girls' accounts from me personally, then they can take it from there. They just have to make sure to hit reply all to keep everyone in a loop. It will keep the conversation flowing with some girl being more shy than others. I get too much spam now to put the emails on this board (If you ever need a genuine rolex---I can hook you up LOL). I will put in the subject "Disney Friends". Make sure they look for it in the next day or so in case it goes into the limbo we all know as spam.

I will email tonight to give the uncommitted ones time to respond. They can always jump in later.

Anyone else?

Deb

Hi Deb,

I PM you this morning with my daughters email - Amanda and Sarah-Lynne.
They would love to be part of the conversations.

Great idea!!!!!!

Lynne

The 9/10 year olds are going strong. They seem excited. I forward all the emails to gina's daughter and then put her on the group.

Lynne---I added your daughters into the email as well. I put them both in the older group---12/14 now. If she wants to go lower to meet Gina's daughter--let me know. Or, I can put her on both. Christine just sent out an email with them on it, make sure I got all the hyphens and underlines correct. As I was typing this, Sarah-Lynne's bounced back. I think I fixed it. I forgot the underline before 5.

We are 1 pm at the aquarium on March 8th meeting by the seals. I am going to let someone else coordinate who is coming so we don't walk away too soon. Although it isn't exactly a huge place, so finding a large group shouldn't be a problem.

I went to Costco and got Jenn's bathing suit and WalMart had Ryan's. So much for losing weight. Ugh! Not happy. Maybe something will happen soon now that the weather is getting warmer.

Hi everyone,

My DD14 received the emails. She was a little disappointed that she would like to know a little more about each of the kids. She wrote a paragraph and all she got back was a couple of lines. She stated they don't seem as excited as the 9/10 year olds do as I have a DD in that group also. She is so excited and would love to learn more about the kids as she is very outgoing.

Thanks,
Kelly

I would tell her to give them time. I think some of them were having email problems---One kept sending it only to Christine. She kept having to write back "try again".

I just talked to Christine---she was waiting to reply until everyone else did--kind of like turns. She is new to all this emailing stuff. She'll be a talker--promise. I told her you don't wait---just jump in there. She is a writer by nature--poetry and books.

Deb

Edited to add: I went to check. Your daughter wrote a beautiful letter, but just to Christine and right before the group email started. I can forward it to the group if she wants so she doesn't have to re-write it again. Sorry for the confusion. All the kinks will get worked out in the next few days. She also wrote that I had another incorrect email. We are getting there.

Thanks Deb, I will let them know.

Can we just leave today....we are getting another 20cm of snow tonight and tomorrow :rotfl2:

LESS THAN 40 DAYS!!!!! :dance3: :yay:

Lynne

Caroline was on-line reading her e-mails last night. We got home late from dance classes and the mean mother that I am wouldn't let her respond because she had to shower and get ready for bed :sad1:

Anyway, she is very excited to get home today and respond.

More ice/sleet in upstate NY today-we are on early dismissal once again. Can't wait for sunshine and warm weather (drinks too!!). :beach:

I am hoping we are done with snow. I can't wait to get to Florida where there will be warmer weather. And hopefully it will come home with us!

Do you know who has responded yet? I'm not sure if Tommy has yet, but if his was quick, he might get more chatty as they keep emailing. I know when he emails me, they are short and sweet, but he will send many.

Well, here in CT, we are sure praying the snow is a thing of the past ... it's almost 60 here today!! I can't even think of going back to snow at this point!!
