I would be too Kat if the attic wasn't just so freezing right now. LOL

Ro--have you ever shopped at a store called Territory Ahead in the Mall of Chestnut Hill? Didn't know if you were around there. I may be taking a quick overnight up to do some clothes shopping. I like some of their stuff, but I can't judge whether it will look good. My Aunt lives up there but she said she hasn't ever gone to it.

I am looking at the weather guys!!! All I can say is Yipppeeee!! Looks like mid to upper 40's for the week! I can finally start walking on a daily basis.

Deb

No, i drive by the Chestnut Hill Mall when I some times drive to work, but have never stopped in..I am an online shopper...try to avoid malls at all costs. Yea sunshine today

Anytime I have ever driven on 9 up there---I have felt like you are just pushed along with no ability to get off. LOL!! You either know where you are going to exit or you are doing a turnaround somewhere up the line. That road just scares me and I drive I-95 down here on a daily basis.

i will get all the clothes in the laundry and be done by Sunday night.

 :yay: :dance3:

Ok, when you're done up there, feel free to come over here and start on ours. Savannah will help you! I'll help too (by keeping the baby out of the way!!!! :rotfl2:

Hi,

It's been a while since I posted...but I have been trying to keep up with the thread.

I was hoping that a past cruiser can give me and my daughter (16) some clarity on the formal night....I was hoping that she would wear a long (floor length or mid-calf) dress for formal night. She is horrified with the concept and thinks that I must be mistaken ... that nobody will be wearing a long dress.

I realize that there are no 'rules' on the cruise and any type of dress will probably do...but do most people wear long dresses??

Thanks,

i know how you feel. I live off route 9 in Westboro and it scares me too...I have only been here about 5 years. Its the longest road, goes from Worester to Boston, full of pot holes and lots of stores and if you miss where you are going you are doing U-turn arounds. MY husband will only go to shop if the store is on the side we are driving on..if we miss it we dont go..Wait for the next one to come along. Thats why i do online shopping...no driving or u turns. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

There will be people in full length gowns, there will be people in cocktail dresses, there will be people in normal dinner attire, there will be people in shorts. Not many men in tuxes though.

I used to do the long gown. Not anymore. With 5 of us now and bigger kids, I need the luggage space. We would have a garment bag just for our formal wear.

Not sure that is what you want to hear. You are in the dress for all of a couple of hours--unless you will enjoy the experience of getting all dressed up, not sure it is worth fighting over it.

I am wearing a floor length dress and so is Gabi!!

Hello fellow cruisers,

I hate to brag, but I'm sitting on my back porch, sun is shining, temp is 76:cool1: I'm trying to get a little color to my skin. I don't tan very well, blonde hair, blue eyes, so I burn pretty good, attempting to have my skin get used to the sun :cool2: So, think of this as something you can look forward to when you come down to my neck in the woods, not bragging, I promise.

Hope you all have a great time at the aquarium meet next week.

On formal night, I'm wearing a mid calf length dress with bead work, going to be at Palo's that evening.

Have a great week, and see ya real soon!

Please, send some our way!! I can't wait for winter to be over!

You realize that if you said you had a tropical drink in your hands, we might have actually had to come and dumped a bucket of ice on your head. I'm jealous!! OMG---I want 50 let alone 70's.

I'll see you at Palo that evening.

We're planning on the March 8th meet. I think I'm dragging DH too. It will be me, DH, DD11 (5th G) and DS8 (3rd G).

I'm finally getting email notifications, they are just a few days behind (and I have instant notification checked, oh well).

Thanks for the feedback on the formal attire. My daughter has agreed to wear a nice semi-formal dress....she does look really good in it...I just wanted to make sure that it would be appropriate.

We just recieved her passport yesterday...it only took two weeks (that's without expedited service). I am so happy to not have that hanging over our heads.

It's hard to believe that we will be on the cruise next month!!! :woohoo:

I can hardly wait to be sitting by the pool in a lounge chair on my way to the the carribean!!!

Jeanne, I know that you already answered, but I thought I would tell you that my DD10, Kayla, and I will have floor length dresses for formal night, and cocktail dresses for semi-formal.

ITA - we are hoping for 50 tomorrow but back down into the 30's for the rest of the week. It is never going to end....

I have a ankle length black outfit to wear and another blue dress to wear one night. I am bringing a garment bag to carry the dressy stuff, but I only plan on a medium size bag for each of us, so it should be ok.

If you have never seen the Phantom, it is so worth it there. I have seen it in London, New York and Vegas and the Vegas show ranks right up there with the others. There used to be a really good Titanic exhibit--not sure if it is still there. DH is somehow related to John Astor by marriage--something to do with the second wife being a sister or cousin of a grandma. Heck, I don't know. So, it has always interested him.

Where are you staying?

Yes---I will pay anything for a non-stop flight. Especially if I actually want a chance to get there. I am in love with Jet Blue.

Talk about off topic. ROFL!

Deb

My husband's cousin played Christine in Phantom, so we have seen it a few times. We are going to stay at the Flamingo. I could try for a timeshare week, but I like the thought of staying right on the strip...

Deb,

I'm a SAP for Phantom!!! I saw it in NY and bawled my eyes out, watched the movie a few times and I can't wait to take Gabi to it. Maybe in a year or two. I just love that show. And I even walked down the aisle to That's All I Ask of You!!! It was great.

Christine used to hum the songs during "quiet" time in Kindergarten. She loved hearing her name and would make me go straight to the end of one of the songs. We had it memorized. I personally enjoy Les Mis's music better but Phantom ranks as one of my favorites. It is great to turn it up and clean to. LOL!

Which show was she in? NY? Vegas? My parents went to Vegas last night. I was thinking about heading out for an overnight---but quickly realized what that meant in travel. I'll see them in April, they are joining us pre-cruise at Universal.

My dh is also coming to the aquarium. Do you want to meet by the seals? Did we set a firm time? Should we all carry a red rose? LOL!! Just Kidding.

There is a really fun thing online at maps . live . com (no spaces). You can see bird eye views of almost anywhere. We even checked out Universal to show my son Seuss Land. I showed the kids my old neighborhood and where my grandparents lived. It was fun to share some stories with them--"This is the route I walked to swim practice every morning" or "This is where your dad and I met".
