Ajeent, I also have been shopping. The kids have grown so much since last summer.

My dd needed formal & semi formal dresses, bathing suits, shoes. (well I ordered her a pair of dress shoes, but since she is now wearing the same shoe size as me I thought she could borrow some casual sandals from me).

For my DS I ordered a new suit, but still have to shop for some shorts and new dress shirts. I think his shoes still fit.

Sadly, I purchased these things last year when we did a cruise in the summer, but they have both outgrown their formal wear.

Hi All! Haven't posted in a while, but have been "lurking". It's been a hectic week. I would love to try to get together at the aquarium on the 8th. I will have to be out of there by 3:30-4 (church committment), though. I'll let you all know for sure when I figure out who has to be where at what time--LOL! If DH's are going too, let me know. It would be me and DD-10. DS would only go if there were going to be other 14yo boys and DD-16 usually works on Saturdays.

The 8th sounds great and I can meet any time. The deck party time and place sounds good as well.

Megan--are you right across the border? I have a beach house in Westbrook. If I end up going up in March, I could email you and we could meet up at the aquarium there.

My kids are so excited about meeting everyone. I hope the aquarium is ready for an invasion of Disney fanatics.

Sorry about the excursion cancellation.

Deb

That's really nice of you to offer Deb! But I would hate to have you drive there and then I would be unable to meet you. By all means though if you do happen to go that way, send me an email and if we can coordinate our schedules I'll let you know!
Sorry for the delay in answering, things have been really busy at work (and it keeps interrupting my computer time!!! :sad2:

A friend just got back from a cruise so has motivated me to start planning the clothes for all of us...... CONCLUSION>>>>>>>>>

DD needs NOTHING, except maybe shoes if they don't fit. If I wanted to, I could pack her a different outfit for every meal. The issue is how much to bring, since I don't want to overpack.

DS has 2 hand me down sports coats, but hates wearing them, so I will be "mean mommy" if I make him dress up when other boys don't. Any prior cruisers have input on whether MOST 6 year old boys dress up on the 2 formal nights? We also have a number of nice polo shirts for all the other dinners.

DH will not be convinced that he needs any additions to his wardrobe for this cruise, so I will save my energy and not even suggest it. :sad2:

I am guessing I have plenty for myself, but a quick stroll through Coldwater Creek today made me wonder if I just might :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 need a few more things.

I love coldwater creek. I just put an order in to J Jill for some shorts & tops.
I actually bought an extra dress last summer when we were going to cruise, couldn't make up my mind for which one to keep, but we already had this cruise planned, so I kept it for this one.

I few more odds & ends and we should be pretty good.

WOW, that is great news!!!!! :lovestruc  :wizard: :woohoo: :cloud9: Your family must be so thrilled to have such great news!!

Have you ever been to Vegas? I've been 3 times and LOOOOOOVE it. Well, I love the heat and there's almost no better place for it!!! Hope you have a great time celebrating her health!!

Kat

We are thrilled! I have been to Vegas twice - I love it. Last time I took mom for her 65th birthday. Although now I am getting snobby and will only schedule the nonstop Airtran flight.... I am getting too old for those 12 hr flights - LOL

it all depends on what its worth to you ... we don't mind paying a tad extra for the direct flights.

good for you. :woohoo:

I love, love, love Vegas. It is one place I can go and not care that I don't change to the local time. I get up at 4 am and will go play at the casino. It is the best time to play. Everyone else is soooooo drunk and sooooo entertaining. The dealer and I at one table had so much fun with a group of college guys. Any girl that stopped by to say hi to them, we had em chasing them for their phone number in an auntie sort of way. LOL! Hey--they got em.

If you have never seen the Phantom, it is so worth it there. I have seen it in London, New York and Vegas and the Vegas show ranks right up there with the others. There used to be a really good Titanic exhibit--not sure if it is still there. DH is somehow related to John Astor by marriage--something to do with the second wife being a sister or cousin of a grandma. Heck, I don't know. So, it has always interested him.

Where are you staying?

Yes---I will pay anything for a non-stop flight. Especially if I actually want a chance to get there. I am in love with Jet Blue.

Talk about off topic. ROFL!

Ok gang, I have the email listings for the kids ready to go. Here are the parent names I have so far. If you don't see yours and you want to or you see yours and you don't, pm me. I tried to grab them all.

9/10 year olds:

Kellydizfan
Skuba2
cvspsych
cindy1
with 2 more possibles I am emailing directly for permission.

13/14 year olds:

Kellydizfan (2)
Cindy1
motherofsons (he is the only boy if he doesn't mind. My daughter doesn't care)
Skuba2
with 1 more possible that I am emailing directly for permission

Those seem like good groups. I will email from my girls' accounts from me personally, then they can take it from there. They just have to make sure to hit reply all to keep everyone in a loop. It will keep the conversation flowing with some girl being more shy than others. I get too much spam now to put the emails on this board (If you ever need a genuine rolex---I can hook you up LOL). I will put in the subject "Disney Friends". Make sure they look for it in the next day or so in case it goes into the limbo we all know as spam.

I will email tonight to give the uncommitted ones time to respond. They can always jump in later.

Anyone else?

Deb

I know I am enjoying my weekend. It is actually sunny and might get to be 65!

I was playing around the DCL site and couldn't find any rooms left to reserve for our cruise. I guess this means our ship will sail full to the rafters! I hope it isn't so crowded I can't enjoy any of the on board activities.

To those going to the meet at the aquarium- Have fun!

Ajeent, glad your Mom got such wonderful news. I will keep praying for her continued good health!

Well, I have to go outside now and play! I forgot how nice the sun is.
Have a good weekend all.

Ugh--it snowed last night. I am so ready for warmer weather. I will even take 45--I'm not greedy.

Hi Deb,
I sent you a PM with emails for my kids.
Vickie

I have had enough snow. I would also take just enough warm weather to not be snow. It started snowing here again about a 1/2 hour ago. Trying to get out the door visit family on Long Island, very frustrating.

Ok--both emails are sent. There are two each. In the older group, I had to add a name and in the younger group I typed an email wrong. So, both groups should have their emails and have one they should ignore.

Hope this works. They younger group may need a little help making sure they "reply to all" and not just reply.

Deb--who is still sitting here in her pajamas.

We got snow last night at midnight until 10 am this morning, then sun shine for a short time but now its around 40...More snow coming for the week...but this should be the end of "big" storms if you can trust the weather channel..
But I had my Moisturizing Pedicure today..so my feet are almost ready for the cruise... I have another apt for Apirl 5th...then look out here i come.
Talked my husband into a gentlemens pedicure for 4/5 too...OHHHHHHHHH, boy...
We are both just getting over the Flu of some kind...Its been a very long week...Chicken soup today..

CAn i pack yet?

Ro

You have my permission! I'm soooo ready to get the suitcases down from the attic!!
Kat

I would be too Kat if the attic wasn't just so freezing right now. LOL

Ro--have you ever shopped at a store called Territory Ahead in the Mall of Chestnut Hill? Didn't know if you were around there. I may be taking a quick overnight up to do some clothes shopping. I like some of their stuff, but I can't judge whether it will look good. My Aunt lives up there but she said she hasn't ever gone to it.

I am looking at the weather guys!!! All I can say is Yipppeeee!! Looks like mid to upper 40's for the week! I can finally start walking on a daily basis.
