For some reason I'm not getting email notifications anymore from this thread. We just returned from Atlantis so we all have a little tan right now. It also forced me to get the kids some new summer clothes so we're ready to cruise. The kids were sad to come home with CMT's starting next week. I'm looking forward to the cruise, especially the food. The food at Atlantis just doesn't compare (or service for that matter).

As of right now, we're free on the 8th for the meet. I'm sure my hubby would be happy to have his own DIS meet at The Ginger Man around the corner . Are there any other beer snobs out there so he'll have a buddy on board?

We are arriving on Friday, but staying at the Country Inn and Suites. We are also staying an extra day on the return at Port Orleans. We had planned on doing a park or two, but now we're thinking pool and Cirque de Solei.

How fun!!! We considered doing Atlantis one year but I think the overall general hugeness of it frightened us away. Hopefully you have some pics to share??

I'm so glad that you posted about the meet. I was going to send you a PM in case you hadn't been getting the email notifications. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, it's a pain.

There's been no official time set as of yet. I had thought maybe right after lunch so that we could maximize the entire afternoon.

If we did it at 1pm, would that work for you?

We would also love to meet at the 3pm time. Tell me what deck that would be on and I will write it down and put it in my cruise folder.

I will have dd10 and ds13 with me! And of course DH. The kids will be glad to meet the other kids.

I just booked the St Johns Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel tour excursion. I think we snorkel for 1 1/2 hours from the beach. Was the one you had the one where you snorkel off the boat?

The 8th sounds great and I can meet any time. The deck party time and place sounds good as well.

Megan--are you right across the border? I have a beach house in Westbrook. If I end up going up in March, I could email you and we could meet up at the aquarium there.

My kids are so excited about meeting everyone. I hope the aquarium is ready for an invasion of Disney fanatics.

Everyone is talking about the Norwalk Aquarium for the 8th. I just threw out to Megan that I could meet up with her at another date at Mystic if I get myself up to that area in March.

Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted in awhile. I wish I could make the dis meet on 3/8 but that weekend is booked solid along with all the rest up till the cruise and we actually are not far at all I think about 138 miles if that. The kids are bouncing off the walls with anticipation. They just can not wait. My son has his days planned already. I am hoping to meet on the deck by the pool at 3 p.m. if all goes well. If anyone wants to pm me with email address, my DD 14 would love to correspond and also introduce her friend Alyssa also 14 who will be with us.

I think we need to get all the kids on one email----the 13/14 year old on one, the 9/10 year olds on another, the 11/12 year olds on another. Anyone interested, pm me with their child's email and age and I will coordinate an email group for each by the end of the weekend. That should give enough time to get everyone who wants to participate.

As far as the norwalk aquarium, I believe we may have 3 families which includes me. Us, Kat and Cindy I believe. Anyone else?

We would love to meet at the aquarium but I'm not sure if the 8th works yet. My son's basketball team has had a few games cancelled due to snow, and I know they make one up this Sat. and I'm not sure about next week yet. If we are free I will add a post saying we can come and to check the time.

Just a quick HOOYAH.

We are definitely counting down the days.

We plan to hit the Nickelodean hotel on the way to the cruise. 2 nights of Nick, then 7 days with Disney. I think we will be inundated with the cartoons.

But I dont care!!!!!

So - I am back after a crazy week! Some great news - My mom just had her petscan after the first 2 chemo treatments and there are no longer any signs of lymphoma - WOO HOO!!


She still won't be able to come on the cruise but I am planning a trip to Vegas with her in November.

So on top of that good news, my ds13 jumped off a stack of mats in the gym yesterday and fell on his elbow. 24 hrs and 3 drs later, he fortunately does not have a break... Kids...

Anyway - I have been shopping for the trip - a new dress for me, nice clothes for the boys. Still have to get dh a coat.

I love the tips on what to do with rules for the kids. I added them to my list...


We will be on the ship early, so I would love to meet anytime we decide.

Well - my dh is not a beer snob, but I am sure he will be willing to tip a few with whoever is interested!

We are coming in on Wed and staying at All Star Sports until Sat. Our plan is to do AK and Blizzard Beach on Thurs and Fri.
Then we are staying near the airport on Sat night - we have a 6:45 am flight out on Sunday.

I believe cnb was going to attend and I know also that motherofsons was going to drive down from MA so it should be a good sized group!!

How long until you might know? Black Bear is right around the corner. If everyone is up to it, maybe we could extend the day and take the kids out to eat later in the day if a later time helps? I know for one, I LOVE that place and it wouldn't be punishment to hang out over there if it meant you could join us at one point.

WOW, that is great news!!!!! Your family must be so thrilled to have such great news!!

Have you ever been to Vegas? I've been 3 times and LOOOOOOVE it. Well, I love the heat and there's almost no better place for it!!! Hope you have a great time celebrating her health!!
