Mickey1fan are you leaving from TO on the 12th. We are probably going Ottawa to To and then on to Orlando....so we may end up on the same flight.

As for all of you with competitive teens, I have two my dd12 and dd14 are both very athletic and competitive.
Any teens planning on going to the teen club? My dd14 wants to meet people right away.

we are sooooo excited! Can't wait to get away from all this snow!

It sounds like your daughter and mine are similar. Christine is also very shy, but breaks out of her shell after a while. I think she is looking forward to hanging out by the pool.

Hey all ... I just came across this great thread for some basic rules for teens and tweens that might be given a little freedom of their own while on board.

My son Shawn is special needs (He has Down Syndrome), so he will really NOT be going around alone unless with his one older cousin Melissa.

But, for anyone else considering giving their teens a little more space while onboard, this thread has some great info in it.

So does Saturday, March 8 work for everyone for a meet at the Aquarium in Norwalk?

Are dad's coming along or is this Moms and kids? What are everyone's opinions???

I think once we narrow down the date and time, I will PM the other few local dis'ers that haven't posted in a while to see if they are still interested in a meet-up.

I can't believe we are at 44 days!!!

Beginsters, we fly down on the 11th and are spending a night at Port Orleans Riverside.

It is snowing again today. We will have a new record from 80 years ago if Toronto gets the snow predicted.

We must set a time and place to meet.

I know I want to meet everyone at the terminal too.

I think that there will be too much action going on for us to meet during the sail-away party.

What about 3pm, before the safety drill?? We can meet in the family area over by the ice cream station??

That way if any of the kids want to hang out during the party, they will know each other already.

Anyone in favor or object???

Was anybody else scheduled for the 5-Star Snorkeling excursion on St. John that got cancelled? Only 3 of our family were scheduled for it, but the excursion website is being such a pain that we can't get one of them scheduled into a new excursion.

For all the wonderful things Disney has, they sure could use an update on the excursion website program!!!

Sounds good to me!

I haven't decided yet on meeting up with everyone at the Aquarium in Norwalk. It appears to be a two hour drive from me (typical RI mentality if I cross state lines I have to pack a suitcase ). I'm just thinking a four hour drive, my DD will be fine, but with the baby..... But, I will keep thinking and let you know either way.

A 3 pm meet sounds good to us. That will give the girls a chance to meet.

Talk about snow!!! We had early dismissal today and we are supposed to get 10+ inches overnight-ugh!! We have actually used up all of our allotted snow days and they are starting to take them away from our vacation time. I guess I will be using personal days to go on this cruise.

I wish we could get to the aquarium, but it would be quite a ride for us. We will be there in spirit too. Maybe someone could get a group photo from the meet and post it here. That would be fun.

3pm sounds great! We did a dsiboard meet last time, it was nice to put faces to names.

Taramom22, my daughter will be 7. She has two older sisters so gets along very well with older children, infact sometimes prefers them.

We have 3 granddaughters 7, 6, 5.. the 7 is very mature and the 6 is very active and the 5 just follows along for the fun or trouble.

They should get along with your daughter in the clubs. The grandsons are only 2 and 10 months.

I will have a very competitive DS who will be 14 when we cruise. The only problem with him is I am not sure how I will lure him out of the cabin, he is very shy. He just got an MVP award for basketball and I thought he was about to pass out when they called his name to receive his trophy. I would love to set up any type of meet as early as possible on the ship so I am not stuck with a teenager attached to my side or sitting in the cabin for 7 days.

I also have a DS who is 7 who I will probably will not see till the day we leave the ship on the 18th. Outgoing and very friendly. So if any of you sees or hears a child who can stop talking that would be my son.

Yes we were scheduled as well for the excursions and now I am having a difficult time selecting something else. Oh I hope this is not how the rest of the cruise will be.

We would also love to meet at the 3pm time. Tell me what deck that would be on and I will write it down and put it in my cruise folder.

I will have dd10 and ds13 with me! And of course DH. The kids will be glad to meet the other kids.

I just booked the St Johns Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel tour excursion. I think we snorkel for 1 1/2 hours from the beach. Was the one you had the one where you snorkel off the boat?
