Anyone in concierge--listen up. You have to pay your trip in full to book your ressies tonight at midnight EST. We just paid ours---ouch!! But, I was glad I did while I could still reach them personally. The computer payment didn't go through, so I had to call it in.

On another note, I just looked at the recent navigators and of course never realized that the 13 and older group is limited in their activities. Oh well. It will make it interesting. At least we seem to have a group of them on this meet board. Hopefully they can connect and keep eachother out of trouble.

Hey there, Mousketeers!

(Am I showing my age?)

Re: Skuba2's report on the 13 and up group, I haven't had time to really peruse the navigators yet, but we have one each of 13, 14, and 15, and three 16-year-olds in our group, so we're doing our part to fill up that age group!

Wasn't somebody going to put together a list of all of our kids? That would be great. Here's my total list again:

infant girl, 2-year-old girl, girl 6, boy 9, girl 10, boy 11, boy 12, girl 12, boy 13, girl 14, boy 15, boy 16, girl 16, girl 16. We also have a boy who just turned 18 today, so he won't be able to do the official teen activities but I'm sure he'd love to hang with the teens otherwise.

Are we there yet??? :cool1:

Quick question:

I see that there is a "soda package" available. Since sodas are free at the beverage station and at meals, what would be the advantage of someone getting this package? Is this just if you want them brought to you in your stateroom?

Thanks!

Me again. I'm on one tonight!

Can parents visit their kids in the Oceaneers Club and Oceaneers Lab any time they want, or are they only allowed in during "visiting hours?" And can an aunt come instead of a parent or along with a parent? I'd love to watch my 6-year-old niece do some of the activities.

Hey guys!!

Yes, I am the one who volunteered to do the list but the thread became pretty slowed down after that so I don't think a lot of responses were posted.

I will take care of it over the next day or so ... and also anyone who has NOT posted, please do so!!

I think it will be easier with names ... what do you all think?? And how about ages at the time of the cruise!!

Mine are as follows:

So I posted a little bit back but don't think anyone responded ... who is dressing up for formal night?

Like tuxes and dresses dressed up? I think we will ... why not, right??

kat

Thanks to DisneyMomforLife for the great new list of kids! Way to go!

In case you want names, ours are:

16 Brittany
16 Kylie
16 Eric
15 Thomas
14 Krista
13 Sawyer
12 Ryan
12 Christine
11 Austin
10 Alyssa
9 Brandon
6 Lonni
2 Courtney
Inf. Lizzie

Our Brittany babe will be turning 17 one week after we return, but she's stuck with being listed as 16 for the cruise. Poor kid!

Re: formal night

I think most in our extended family will just be doing suits for the men/boys and nice dresses for the women/girls, although some of the girls do have formals and may bring them, and a couple of the men/boys have tuxes. Out of our group fo 36, though, I'd say only about 7-9 would actually be in tuxes or formals.

I seem to be posting in sets of 3-in-a-row!

Here’s an update on the adults in our group:

Our family reunion group is now up to 36. We have:

widowed grandma (85) and

widowed eldest sister (still in her 50s);

eight couples now, since one of the formerly-single girls is getting married in March and bringing along her new hubby;

three single guys ages 25, 21, and 18;

only one single girl now, age 19.

When added to the 14 kids posted above, I think that makes all 36 of us.

We’ll be in 12 cabins, mostly on deck 6 but one on deck 2 and one on deck 7.

For formal night my DH & DS (13) will where suits and my DD (10) and myself will where formal dresses for the formal night. And for the semi formal night we will have suits and dressy dresses, but not gowns.

So I posted a little bit back but don't think anyone responded ... who is dressing up for formal night?

Like tuxes and dresses dressed up? I think we will ... why not, right??

kat

We probably won't. We'll be dressed up--but not formal. We have Palo scheduled that night. We did for the first few cruises, but find we can travel with one less bag if we don't. With 5 of us, one less bag is a good thing.

Go for it though. It is fun to do.

Deb

Anyone else do their ressies yet? We got the regatta in St. Martin (sp?) and the jet ski tour--first hour--on cc. We'll do the tram on our own in St. thomas. I also got a pedicure schedule and palo brunch as well as dinner.

Now, I have to work on getting my weight back off.

Deb

For anyone who knows the rotation dining, can you post it please?

Kat

Kat--not sure what you mean. You mean the best to get for the night festivities. There are 3 rotations: Animators-Parrot Cay-Lumieres; Parrot Cay-Lumieres-Animators & Lumieres-Animators-Parrot Cay I believe. I just remember PLAP. LOL! You want the one that puts you in Parrot cay on Tropical night and Lumieres on formal night.

Deb

Edited--got this from the FAQ thread:

What are the possible Dining Rotation times based on recent cruises?
7 day cruise
APL 5:30 and 8:00
PLA 5:45 and 8:15
LAP 6:00 and 8:30

thanks!! that was the info I was hoping for ... i just called DCL and they said the standard blurb about not being able to guarantee anything but that based on the way it's listed we would probably be PLAP so that is good news on many fronts based on your post. She said it looks like that because we have kids in ours and that is the "standard" rotation for small kids, and there is a separate one for families and for adults ... so that would put us at Lumiere's for fomal night ... is Tropical Night the Pirates party?

this was so much easier on the 3 night cruise, lol ... you had one restaurant one time each! lol

kat

Well, here is more to throw into the mix. If you want to see any of the "shows", you have to be in the restaurant during the your rotations first time there. So, if you have Animators Palate twice, the second time in there is no "show".

Deb

Hi All! Happy New Year!;) We are getting closer:cool1: I remember in the beginning of this thread that we were talking about getting a meet together...is anyone still interested in doing that?
