READY.....SET......GO!!! For Disney Magic, April 11, 2014, Port Canaveral, FL

Hi everyone! We are going on our second cruise (1st was on the Dream August 2013 and LOVED it) April 11,2014 out of Port Canaveral, FL on the Magic for my youngest daughters 7th birthday. I have heard about "fish extenders" and they sound wonderful and would love to participate. Does anyone know how I would go about getting involved? Thanks in advance for any advise! If you are on this cruise please list room number and # of people in family and I will be delivering goodies your way!!

Family State: 1 parent, 3 daughters (Veronica - 10; Hailey - 8; Jasmine - 6 with nut allergies)

Hooray! I was beginning to think we had the ship to ourselves! LOL we are on this cruise...our 6th DCL so gold for the first time! It's our 22nd anniversary on the 11th and we are doing a B2B, staying on for the 4/14 sailing for #7. We are in cabin 8088. There are 4 of us...me, DH, DD (15-1/2), and DS (almost 9). Thanks for starting this thread! We are not doing FE this time, but looking forward to meeting folks.

I was starting to think that no one was going on this cruise as well. This will be mine and my husbands 5th cruise (3 without children!) and our second with our miracle child, Damien who will be 3! I am really excited about doing the fish extender for the first time, but am honestly a little lost. Any info that you can give me on what is expected and how to help make our children's' curie even a little more magical would be great!

I am new to the FE as well. You will need to either make or buy (www.etsy.com is a good place, just search fish extenders), list your room number and family breakdown, then once on the cruise hang your FE on the fish outside your stateroom and each day check for surprises in the FE. I have already started prepping mine....this is going to be so fun! Also, before you go make sure you have the list of everyone participating and treats to deliver to them. It is kind of a gift exchange...you give to others and they give to you. It can be what ever you want, Disney related or I have seen a suggestion of something relating to the state or country you are from. It can be one thing for the whole family in the stateroom or something for each person. Hope this info helps!

We are doing the same B2B cruises! I also have a 15 year old daughter

So you will be gold after this trip! Awesome! Does ur DD like to hang out at vibe? Ours didn't really connect with anyone her own age in August so she wasn't there much. We were traveling with friends so it wasn't as much of a 'priority' if that makes sense, but I hope it's different for her this time. Is she a 9th grader or 10th grader? Ours is a freshman b/c of a late bday. R u in the same room for both parts? Excited to be on board a pretty empty ship on the 14th for a little while. Although I may just be doing laundry. We LOVE the Magic and are so excited to see the changes.

My daughter is a sophomore this year. She's always met a group of kids at Vibe on each cruise - she keeps in touch with a lot of them still.

We have the same stateroom for both sailings and we're pretending that the Nassau days are actually sea days - probably won't even get off the ship!

It wld be so cool if they connected, esp since we'll be on the b2b with new kids coming on the 14th. We r doing the same thing...Nassau = no getting off the ship. It will be great to be at CC twice! So excited we scored a cabana! And palo brunch on the 4-day.

Oh, and there is a DIS thread and a FB page for the 14th cruise. I'm n my iPad so IDK how to post the link, but I'm sure u can find it using the search or looking in the cruise meets sticky thread under DCL.

I'll try to remember to log on the computer and get it to you if you want. LMK

It doesn't seem that there are to many people on here joining on our fish extender....I am wondering if we should make a group on Facebook...what are your thoughts on this.

Hi and welcome!! If you list your stateroom number and family breakdown I am planning on making the list and giving it to everyone roughly two weeks before the cruise. The list will consist of every ones stateroom number and family breakdown (i.e. 2A, 2C ~ 1DD & 1DS....this is just an example). Thanks again for joining us!!
