April 10, 2012 5 Night Bahamas Double Dip

Count us in, we're booked. It will be me 39, DH 40, DD12, DS10, DS 5 and DMIL (not saying her age:rolleyes1). We are not new to cruising, but first time Disney Cruisers. We'd like to to do the FE as well. Can anyone direct me to some ideas? We only bring 1 gift per person for the whole cruise right? Not each night??

:welcome: You can get some great ideas for the FE on this board..Some people make homemade gifts and others buy things. There are threads here on the board.. With the amount of people we alraedy have (And we still have 11 months to go) It definetly should be just one delivery per cabin. The Dream is a BIG boat and in our last FE we only had 13 cabins however it took a while to deliver all the gifts..(It sure was fun though) :goodvibes

Hey Robin..that is what I was thinking!! I said by the time we get to the end of the year there's going to be a long FE list and the Dream is humongo!!!

I'm still thinking of what I want to give out for this cruise. I'm going to give myself till december to play with some ideas..and then once december rolls around start buying for the FE...last time..I started buying stuff way too early and I had way too much stuff. This time I want to get something custom made.

I also have to decide how I want to make my FE for this Cruise! I'm probably going to use the same FE I made for my last cruise for this october cruise...but I want to make a special one for the Dream. This time I know not to make it so wide. This time I won't plaster my door with magnets and change them out everyday...

Is anyone on here doing the Hyatt or WDW before the cruise and what about WDW after the cruise?

We are planning to go to WDW before the cruise, but haven't made any reservations yet. We LOVE Bay Lake Tower (staying there in 75 days!). We don't know where we are going to stay yet before the cruise. And it will be our first time at WDW for Easter too!
:)

Yup! on Fri I booked Apr 6 -10 at BLT before the cruise! Yay!! Only 334 days until I go to WDW!!!!

That is going to be one busy week in WDW.When I booked the cruise I was not thinking about Good Friday, Easter then the norths spring break-we are off the week after the cruise. We were there one time before that week and OMG! we had said never again.

Make sure if you want ADRs you are right on that on the 180 day mark because there will be nothing left if you don't.

We are thinking about CBR after for a couple days.We are at the Hyatt the night before-I have a $100 gift card from my old Visa reward points and AAA.

Can't wait to be able to book the flights-Delta says 331 days ahead only???

Getting excited-looked at the menus last night and the restaurant photos.

I started looking into flights - we are going to WDW before the cruise (flying down on the 6th & hopping for 3 full days on the 7th 8th & 9th). Flights look very high... yikes (and we are traveling w/ 8 people).

wait! I didn't even know Easter was on the 8th...that means this week we are going to be jammed packed with kids huh? my worries is I'll have my stroller with me...I hate that stroller!!! too many people means me waiting around even longer for elevators. :(

I am sure the flights will be ridiculous! We might just drive...

We are going on this cruise because it is our spring break also. I am scared to see what airfare is going to be :scared1: I wish we could drive, but we are coming from Calif and that would be a really long drive. We are just flying in for the cruise and then headed straight home afterwards, no WDW for us :sad1: I think we are going to stay at the Hyatt as we plan on flying in the day before. I wish we could stay longer, but we are trying to do this without pulling DS out of school. I am not sure what I am going to do for my FE gifts yet....I have had about 20 different ideas, but I need to narrow it down. I hope everybody is having a happy May.

Not as much as I would like to. We are very Northern California, almost Oregon, it is about a 12 hour drive to Disneyland. I usually try to get my husband to go at least once every couple of years.

Hi Marci, We fly down to Florida every Spring Break so I know what you mean about the prices of airline tickets. I have learned a few tricks for cheaper fares. First of all, it is best to to purchase airline tickets between 2 1/2 to 3 months before your flight. If you look on Bing travel then they tell you when prices are dropping..(This always works VERY well for me.) I saved $ 1,500.00 on tickets this past trip. Also the boat takes off on a Tuesday, since your son will already be out of school for that week you still have the prior Sat,Sun and Monday for WDW..:cool1: I am lucky that I just got off the Dream and I know that everyone loved my FE gifts so I have already started ordering supplies..

oh wow 12hrs...yea...I said if I ever moved out of florida it would be to cali (but close to disneyland)...I don't think I can be too far from disney or a theme park.

I have heard that Easter week at MK is CRAZY busy!!
If we fly down the Friday prior to the cruise which day would you guys suggest we go to the MK? I can't go to Orlando and not go to the MK :yay:!!!

Easter week is VERY crazy..:scared1: We are going to spend 3 days before the cruise and 3 days after at the parks as we also can not fathom going to Florida and not going to WDW..:confused3 Anyways, Your best bet for MK is definetly Monday..We will be there as well on that day...

I don't know but it seems that everytime I go to MK its PACKED...well the last time I went on a wednesday (April 13th)...and it was packed but not crazy where you were arm to arm with people. I probably will go to AK or something the day before the cruise (that Monday) but will be coming right home after that. Since I am celebrating my boys bdays on board, we probably won't do much WDW 'ing that month.
