Oh I forgot to ask

FOR ALL FE PARTICIPANTS:

Has anyone had any problems contacting any of the people in their group? Anyone they haven't heard from? If there are any problems, changes that need to be made please let me know.

Debbie

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the ideas on the FE issue. I have all of my fingers and toes crossed as I received a shipping confirmation number just a bit ago. I think your good vibes and such helped!! I'll let you guys know~

:goodvibes

Deb T.

Can you please send me a photo of your FE "tote bag"? :worship:
I've been so busy at work this week that I have not had a chance to work on my FE. I'm thinking that a tote bag may be the way to go since we cruise shortly.

Thanks!

Debbie

Here it is...

To all FE Participants...

Don't forget to print and pack your FE Participant List that Debbie sent out to all of us through private messages. :flower3: Christopher's map will be very helpful, also! :) There are two very good reasons why...

First, I've noticed on my last few cruises that often there are other groups of people doing some sort of gift exchange onboard, too, and therefore have FE's hanging outside of their door. Last year, I came across about a dozen FE's that weren't on my list!

Also, remember that we have two groups participating. So, it will be critical to have the list of the specific cabins you are exchanging with. :thumbsup2

This is going to be soooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: Can't wait! :)

Shelli,
Your story sounds a lot like mine. I can only assume that we are working with the same ebay person. I ordered 19 pillowcases for our bat mitzvah group. Please keep me posted on your situation and I'll update you on mine.

Oh my! Here's pixiedust: Pixie Dust pixiedust: that everyone's orders come in soon!!! :grouphug:

Debbie....

Thank you for posting the picture of your bag. On my way home tonight I stopped by JoAnn's and picked up a tote bag and will be decorating it this weekend. I'm so sorry to hear about the problems with the FE from ebay. I really hope that everything works out..... and I can't wait to see everyone's FE on the cruise. Can't believe that next week at this time we will be on our way to FL!:cool1:

You're welcome. :goodvibes Have fun decorating!

Has anyone brought their own wine onboard before? I see that it can be brought aboard in your carry on bags, but just not in a hard-sided cooler. However, the restaurants will charge a $20 corking fee. Makes me wonder if it's just easier to buy the wine onboard.

My brother-in-law is a wine connoisseur and has a variety of wines that he's thinking about bringing along. I haven't brought them aboard before so I have no firsthand experience to offer to hi8m.

We are bringing a small bottle of liquor with us... we are driving so it's a bit easier. I would have brought wine but the $20 corking fee got to me, it's got to be cheaper to buy on board. I looked through the wine selection and they have a nice selection.. The Rosa Regali, Italian Rosa, is amazing.

Wow I can't believe this is the last weekend before we all leave. I have so much to do and so much stuff swimming in my head, not sure I'll make it through next week. Why is it always that way - you wait and wait and wait and then before you know it's here!

I really need to begin the packing procedure but fear it will not even begin till next Thursday. I also have my FE gifts to finish. My parents are spending the night next Friday and the guest room is a disaster area, so that needs to be cleaned. I still have to finish the onboard check in because when I did it in January I didn't have my husbands passport so I just checked ID to get around it...now I have to go back and change to passport. Of course, I keep asking for the passport and he keeps forgetting to get it out... Laundry, laundry, laundry... AND my oil needs to be changed in my car. How will I get it all done?? Connor has competition team practice tonight; Endurance Day tomorrow that I want to stay for, to cheer and motivate; and we are going to the St. Baldricks event on Sunday for the head shaving. I think I need to make a list!!
I'm going to stop typing now before I get really stressed...
Happy Friday everyone!
Debbie

Debbie.. give your son big hugs from the Gaspie's, such a brave kid for shaving his head for his friend... really touched by his thoughtfulness. .... We are in the same panic mode right now.. My DH tuned up the truck, is planning on having everything ready on Thursday night, truck packed, DVD players installed, leave space for the dogs (have to be dropped off at the kennel) ... Oh the things to do ... rush, rush, rush then relax, relax, relax.. Loving it.

Hope noone laughs at the one I made...since I am a late addition, I bought a red apron and tried to be a little creative!! Deb T. Said a prayer that Wed they come in the mail!

Awww, you're sweet. Thanks for lovin' my pixiedust:

I should be fairly easy to spot at the port... I'm older than everyone else, but the youngest at heart! ;) Sunny blond hair cut just above my shoulders, glasses, and I can almost always be found with a smile on my face! :) I will most likely be wearing a lime green short-sleeved shirt with tiny white polka dots, black shorts, and tennis shoes. If I'm not outside on the balcony watching the ship preparations, I'll be close by the line to board since I'll be holding a lucky #1 boarding pass! :cool1: Oh yeah, life is goooooooood! :lovestruc

Looking forward to meeting everyone else, too! :goodvibes I hope everyone can come to our DIS MEET, 3:15-3:45pm in the "Family Zone" on Deck 13 Forward (port side). In case of rain (no, no, nooooooo!), we'll meet in the vicinity of the Vista Cafe on Deck 4 (opposite side of the atrium from Shutters). :wave2:

We are looking forward to meeting everyone. My kids are already talking about all of the friends they are going to make on this trip. We can't wait! I'm getting a little worried about our drive down - just the idea of going straight through. But we'll stop if needed and if I worry about it now it will all go just fine. :) We will be on the road, this time next week - about a 1/3 of the way into our drive.

I have printed a copy of the map for each and everyone stateroom that is listed on the map. I will bring them to the 3 15 meet on embarkation day. And if you don't make it to the meet (which would be an awful shame) rest assured I will make an early FE trip around the ship and give the remaining maps out then.

I still need to figure out the best way to put my name on my FE. It was a gift from my travel agent on my Dream Cruise last February when there was a group of hundreds of us. I went on the WDWRadio Cruise with Lou Mongello ( his podcast was mentioned earlier on the thread)

We are all in the single digits of counting now! Work this week is going to be a drag!

See you all soon.

I'm excited for the cruise too! DF and I made special shirts for the day we leave-we won't be hard to spot either! I can't believe we're down to a week before we leave! On the other hand...

I can't believe I'm down to 10 days until I get married! DF just got back into the US yesterday and I get to see him on Tuesday!

Vacation will be here before we all know!

This is my first time participating in a FE group so I've just been following along with the suggestions I've seen here from the group. This last post from Debbie has me a bit confused. I haven't contacted anyone in my group or been contacted by anyone. All of my gifts are packed up and ready to go.

What information do I need to send to the folks in my group?

Nancy

Thanks so much for making those maps for all of us! They are really appreciated!

Don't worry if you can't figure out a way to add your name... I've seen lots of FE's without names. :thumbsup2

This is such an exciting and special time for you! :lovestruc I'll be keeping an eye out for the beautiful DISer wearing a white gown who is beginning a wonderful new life while on this cruise!

I believe Debbie was referring to one of the participants in one of the groups who is personalizing FE gifts. That person was asking for last names. Otherwise, there's really no need to contact anyone. The lists are finalized, and all the info we need is on those lists. Enjoy your first time with the FE Exchange! :goodvibes It is a lot of fun! :cloud9:

Won't be long now............................. :cool1:

Re: bringing wine aboard....I found a wine list on line and did a price comparison. Wth the corking fee, it's about the same price for buying the bottle on board. If you are a conossieur and want to bring a special bottle, then it may be worth the fee. We are purchasing a wine package instead. But will be toting gin and tonic on board and perhaps a few bottles of wine for in cabin and on deck consumption!
