Apps as Entrees

I'm having at least two TS meals a day, with the exception of my arrival day, and I was wondering if it was frowned upon, to just get an appetizer or two, and a dessert, instead of getting an entree.

I know I have several buffets, CP, 1900 PF, and Boma, but CP and 1900, I'm only doing because they are character meals, and Boma I really want to try.

But at places like Kona, Tony's, and Coral Reef, could I just get apps and dessert.

Using Kona as an example, I was looking at the menu, and would get, (if the menu doesn't change,) the pot stickers, the caramel banana creme brulee, and the chocolate cake, and also probably an (alcohol) drink.

Would that be acceptable? Especially since I'm solo.

We do it all the time, sometimes we'll share a couple appetizers and a couple desserts, sometimes I'll get an appetizer and he gets an entree, etc. Just think of Disney restaurants as any other restaurant back home.

If we order a lot less monetary-wise, than we would with entrees, we tip extra accordingly.

I like doing that, since that allows me to eat everything comfortably. Ordering the entree and a dessert for myself is often way too much food, and I definitely couldn't do an appetizer on top of everything.

Oh yeah, that's perfectly acceptable. I've done two appetizers many times. I've even just done one appetizer as a meal. Disney is great with that sort of thing.

I often do this, as how else are you going to save space for dessert? Particularly if you're solo?

The only place I ever got a comment was from my "Auntie" server at Prime Time 50's, when I ordered a cup of chicken soup and the s'mores. "That's a healthy meal," she commented--and I was only ordering the soup for appearances sake, anyway!

The pot stickers at Kona are not so big, but the Sticky Wings are about a dozen chicken wings plus a salad. That is, IMHO defintely a main course (just had it Monday night).
