Apps as entrees on DDP

Actually, I think you CAN do this - according to either a Disney server, or a friend of some Disney servers, or at least one Guest who's already been able to do it this year.

Think about it. An appetizer goes for between $5 and $12 (or more); an entree STARTS higher than that. As far as I know, this substitution is officially valid - although the PP is correct - it may depend on your server.

I have actually had them make a meal portion out of an appetizer for me and charge me 1 meal credit. We have also done this with kids meals. My DS will want an adult size portion of something on the kids meal and they did this for us too.

So for an example, if one of the kids meals, say at TuttoItalia, they have spaghetti, with meatballs and parmesan on the kids menu and my teenager wanted an adult portion, they would accomodate that???...If perhaps, the more "elaborate" or adventurous sauces didn't appeal to him, they would make up an "adult" portion of a kids meal?

Thx very much...

You mean that I can have a half gallon of this for my meal at Canada !

It probably depends on the server/restaurant, but we did this at Kona last Aug. My DS13 is very picky and only wanted Chicken Fingers. He got an appy, an "adult" portion of chicken fingers and then the Kona Cone for dessert! It was one of his first requests for our March trip!

I'd love to have the Duck Confit at LeCellier with a side of their fabulous cream cheese mashed potatoes. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!!!!!

Our older son is very picky and we always get him an adult size portion of a kids meal at least once each trip. We first learned about this option from a server.

We are going to Ohana for dinner and will do the same. He doesn't like the food there, but our family wants to go.
