An AP.

I have to activate our AP's but have no idea where or how or how long it will take?

Unfortunately, once I've activated we won't have time to use them that day!

Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We've always bought our APs at the booth in the front of the parks and had them activated right after at guest services (I think that's the name).

The activation process alone, once you're in the park, based on past September visits (very dead time of year), for two adults took 15 to 30 minutes depending on if there were a few customers in front of us.

Now, if you need to do that electronic pickup thing, I have no clue how long that takes. Never done it. The process to buy the AP at the front gates takes as long as it does to buy a 1-day or 2-day ticket. Again, based on September crowds, maybe 15-30 minutes standing in that line.

Very doable, IMHO, and we've always had a full day to enjoy the parks after :)

Get there as early as possible. We (DW, DS and myself) back in May, were there at 8:45, got our passes at the kiosk and went to guest services (at IOA) and the whole process took less than 20 minutes, and we were the 3rd people in line. There were 2 employess taking care of people at guest services that morning. As long as you're there early, it shouldn't be a long wait, at least in my experience.

We always do it when we are ready to leave the park for the day. You can use your AP voucher to get in for the day.

Thanks Everybody!

We won't be arriving into Orlando until about noon, so it's the only time I have that weekend to activiate. I was lucky enought to get the buy one year get the second free from AAA. But it needs to be activated before the end of September.

Then it's off to WDW for our GG Weekend.

If it only takes about 1/2 hour maybe we can stay a little bit!

Just a slight correction: You activate them at Vacation Services not Guest Services.
