How much of a taxi ride cost would it be to hit In N Out and Target? We're now arriving at SNA around 1135 and taking the Karmel bus, so I expect we'll be at PPH by 1230 or so. I know the kids will want to hit DLR ASAP, but I think it'll be our only chance to eat and get inexpensive supplies for the fridge, so I wanted to head to Target and In N Out before attacking the park.

Any idea on about how long it'll be and how much it'd cost in a cab ride? Any suggestions for a cab company? Can the front desk call us one?

Up on the WDW Board, a lot of folks recommend using taxifarefinder.com to get a sense of taxi fares. I just looked up PPH to Target (on Harbor) and it estimates the fare at about $11.50. At the PPH, I would have the front desk help you get a taxi.

Awesome. I just google mapped the area and target is west, and I&O is west... so I'll be hitting Walmart on the way back instead of Target.

I know I seem fixated on T, but all of ours just folded here in Canada, so if I want my fix of specific items, I have to go to the USA now.

I also prefer Target, so that's where I'd go to get supplies and stuff before heading to the park. If you're not fussy about the food locations, there are also several fast food spots on Harbor along the route to Target (e.g., Carl's Jr, Taco Bell, Jack In the Box, etc.).

We've never had an I&O, so I thought it would be a nice treat. I wish the Karmel shuttle would stop at T for us, but c'est la vie. We'll make do I'm sure. I think it's funny that Target is west and I&O is east, and we'll be probably spending more on cab fare than our supplies and lunch will cost.

Um...Target is on Harbor, south and east of Disneyland. I&O is on Ball and South State College Blvd, which is almost due east of Disneyland. Wal-Mart is on Ball, east of Disneyland. I can see how going to I&O and Wal-Mart make sense, but just in case it changes your thinking, Target is not in the opposite direction.

Huh, according to the google map I did, Target is on S. Euclid and I&O is on S State College. So there's a Target on Harbour too? That's a bit closer then and more in line of where I want to go.

It's on Harbor Blvd, south of Chapman (12100 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove, CA). I've been to that one, but not the one on Euclid. Walmart is still the closest to I&O.

It might be a better deal to see if an UBER or Lyft driver will take you to I&O drive thru (buy them a meal) and wait while you do a quick shop (unless you shop for an hour) I would shop first, then dine, so the fries will be hot.

If you are up for a liquor store, 1192 W Katella Ave Anaheim, California. It's one light and one block from the front door. It's in the back corner of the parking lot but the fence may not let you out of the lot. Sidewalk would be a safer walk.

There is a Walmart Market another mile down from there. If you are up for a 1.5 mile walk, it's doable.

Uber is all over Anaheim area. Take an Uber X to In & Out...one way. Relax and enjoy your meal there. Get another Uber to take ya to to Target...relax and shop...call for another Uber to take ya back when you are ready. That is EXACTLY what they are designed to do! No need to have a taxi sitting there with the meter running.

Uber is really amazing!

I'm going to "third" the Uber recommendation. I use Uber, all the time. I've even used Uber to go home (to Long Beach!) from the parks and it costs me anywhere from $17-$24 (something that would cost me $30-$45 in a taxi). If you have a smartphone, set up an Uber account. You'll never put your bottom in a taxi, again. Clean, quick, efficient, cheaper (by far!) than taxis and all over Anaheim and surrounding areas.

Hmmmm... thanks! I'll check it out. I just saw CSI: Cyber the other week and it kinda freaked me out (it was about an Uber-like company where the patrons kept getting killed). LOL

LOL! I would think that's more a risk with taxis, haha! With uber, aside from all the background checks and whatnot, you get the driver's name and photo and license plate number and car make and model...and from the time they accept the request, the whole thing is tracking on gps. Kinda cool.

That being said, when I first started using them, my husband INSISTED I screenshot the driver and car info and text it to him before I hopped in the car, lol!

I'll have DH and two kids with me though. We'll arrive around 1230 and our room won't be ready for us, so we can leave the bags at Bell Svcs at PPH, but the four of us getting from point A-B may be difficult, and I know they don't want to go to the park without me - they're all newbies to DLR.

I suppose I can always order through VONs right, and have beers and stuff delivered. I might just go myself the next day to I&O and grab burgers for all of us.

There's also a CVS on the corner of Harbor and Katella (and I think a new Wallgreens as well) - so if you don't need much there are a couple of options that are pretty walkable as well.

There is also a 7-Eleven right across the street from the CVS. Also, Vons delivers and the first time is free if you wanted to cut some of your shopping time and focus on In and Out (or wherever you want to eat).

Have you looked into the cost of renting a car for the day from the Alamo(? - mind cramp, it's been a couple of years for me) location in DTD. Last time I rented from them, it was less than $30 for the day - an amount which you will eat up in taxi fares fairly quickly, even going to locations not far from your hotel.
