Approved ROFR, am I a DVC owner officially?

Thanks Tom- my problem was all cleared up- documents recieved. I have been very happy with TSS- this just threw me for a loop. I should have asked since I'm brand new to this, but the emails I recieved seemed pretty clear so I just waited. Oh well- no harm done. Thank you for the quick response from both Robert and Yourself.... and Brenda too.:thumbsup2

I just passed ROFR. This is an add on in the same resort with the same use year. Will I have the same master number as may first contract?:confused3

I believe your contract number will be different but if you log onto the DVC site, once you put the new points in they will link them for you but they will show as 2 separate amounts of points - we had 180 and 50 and that's how they did it.

In order to have Disney set up the resale contract as an "add on" rather than a new master, it needs to be titled exactly the same way as your existing contract. Make sure your sales rep knows this is how you want the new contract set up and they may have some advice for you on what to do to be sure Disney sets it up that way.

I passed ROFR on Jan 5th and I still don't have any closing papers. My Contract for Purchase states that I should close on or before 2/26/2007. It sure does take a a long time!

Have you closed yet ? I'm at 28 days since ROFR today and haven't had anything back yet :rolleyes1

popcorn:: also waiting for final papers.. subscribing

I closed yesterday. I could have closed sooner if I would have thought to send my check and documents priority mail. I'll know better next time.

Any idea how long it takes to get into the DVC System so I can make a reservation? I've heard 7 days and I've heard 10 working days.

The reason you hear different numbers is because it varies based on the workload in Member Admin. Given the number of AKV contracts being sold they could be quite busy so it might take longer than average.

When I bought my resale contract in late summer 2005, it took 9 days elapsed to get into the system.

Wow! I just called MS out of curiousity and I'm already in the System. Unfortunately, BWV is sold out for my dates. They put me on a waitlist. I could get VWL; but, I really wanted to stay at my Home Resort for my first stay.

Just curious, what date were you looking for ? I am so afraid that by the time my contract closes, we won't be able to find a room :sad2:

August 5th - 10th. I called MS last week just to get an idea of what was available and they said there were a few BWV 2BRs and more VWL @BRs. They also had SSR and OKW. When I called yesterday there were no more BWV 2BRs and only a few VWL. SSR and OKW were also available.

Good luck with your closing and reservations.
