Applying MYW tix to DVC AP renewal?

If I were you, I’d just call ticketing now and ask to upgrade. Since you bought the tickets from Disney, they should be able to process it as a refund and new purchase over the phone. There’s no real advantage to waiting unless you don’t have the money yet.

So, then I assume they can do that for a new AP purchase (the DVC member special offer)? Each of us has unused 1 or 2 day MYW tix from prior FD trips. That would be awesome!
 
They can do that? We've added them to mde already, assigned them to people and made our fp+ ressies. I thought i read that we had to wait until on sight to upgrade them?
Yes, since you purchased tickets directly and separately from Disney, they should be able to process a refund and repurchase transaction.

Nope, at least not in your situation. Tickets purchased as part of a previous package can only be upgraded in person.

Thanks, my wife is actually on the phone now trying to work through this. There's a couple other hiccups (gift card/separate credit card/transaction for one of the tickets), so we'll see how it goes. We have all the receipts and hard tickets, so.... Our biggest worry is/was losing our fp+ times. We got exactly what we wanted Tuesday morning....

Edit: She got a "You have to go through DVC" and transfer. Waiting now. I suspect DVC says "No, you need to talk to ticketing". Ugh, why is this kind of circular round and round so common with Disney?

Edit2: DVC says this transaction must be done in person. She's calling ticketing, again, to see if she can get a more knowledgeable agent. We're using the 403-939-7523 number....I'm assuming that's the correct one.

Edit3: Third CM, all say the same thing. But at least she got this one to transfer her to a "Ticket Specialist"...with appropriate 30 min hold time.

Edit4: SUCCESS!!! The secret is to ask for Ticket SERVICES, not Ticket SALES. Whatever that meant. ;) But we're all set!!!
