Huh?? They're gonna actually send the card? I don't want them to do that. I thought they would just credit you the rewards and you could order the card at a later date. I don't want my card until next year.

Don't worry, they won't send a card. They'll credit your account, as you had hoped. You'll have to call and request a card when you want the Rewards. Disney1998 got bad info.

This is not what I was told! I was specifically told that after you make your first purchase on the card, the system Automatically sends out a "gift type" card with the bonus 50 dream reward dollars on it. This card is NOT reloadable like the regular Dream Reward Dollar card. You can use it just like a Disney Gift Card, but it is completely different from the regular, reloadable DDR card.


I was also told that you need to acquire 20 DRD before you can request them on the DDR reloadable. Also, they cannot be requested until the month after they were accrued.

However, since I have been told completely different things every time I call, I don't know how reliable any info. from Chase is this is just what I was told..

I got mine in about two weeks and after my 1st purchase I called since I did not see the 50 points- they went on the 1st billing cycle and still are there until I redeem them.

Just an update about Chase...in general, I have found them to be a compeltely unreliable company...we would totally go with another bank and credit card except that we want those Disney rewards dollars!

Too long of a story to get into here, but we have literally perfect credit, pay our bill in full every month, etc. and get nothing but the run-around from these folks every time we call with a question. Always get different answers from different people, foul-ups, etc. Example: called last month with a basic question and they ended up canceling our cards! Then, it took about 3 weeks for them to "figure out the problem" and get us new cards. Since being taken over by Chase, there are tons of problems...most of which come from the people not being up to speed.

Ok..venting over...that being said, we now have our new cards and an extra $50 rewards dollars because technically we opened a new account (after they mistakenly cancelled our old one)...so at least we get something out of it, but it was a huge hassle.

I finally got my card today. Try calling their 800 # and you can check if you have been approved. They have been a bit slow with delivering your new card, but probably in 2 weeks you should have it.
