OK, need to get a new dishwasher, oven and microwave.

Has anyone recently purchased and know which store has the best
deal for installation, delivery and hall away?
I'm trying to avoid going to each store, its hard with a 2 yr old.

Pretty much the appliances I picked out are all within a bout $5 of each other with the sales prices.

also, best place to buy gift cards for the stores, any discounts buy purchasing at kroger, or other places?

thanks

We just bought all new appliances from Lowes. They did free Delivery and haul away. Also we put it on our Lowes Card for an extra 5% off and just paid it off right away

I've bought from Sears, HD, and Lowes. Equally unimpressed by all. I think HD subcontracts out delivery which was a major issue with a fridge a few years back.

I bought my last fridge (different house) from Sears and went through ebates and got 8% back.

I'd do most of the research online so you don't have to go out with your 2-year old.

Kroger is running 4x fuel points which is an 8% discount if you use 20 gallons/fill up. But I think with a few thousand dollars of gift card purchases you would have too many fuel points to use before they expire (I think $2K = $8/gallon in free gas used over 8 fill ups in 2 months).

Almost everything we have gotten from Lowes....the install went flawless

I got a washer from Lowe's earlier this year and the delivery guys were friendly and professional. They had to haul the machine down a very tricky stairway and hook it up to my "questionable" plumbing. They did not complain or show any irritation at all.

Bought my mom an oven from Lowes. Delivery guys were great.

I bought online thru Upromise, used a movers coupon and paid with Lowes card for extra %. All in quite happy.

Youay also want to check Costco or Sams if buying multiple appliances.

I always start at Lowes, go to Home Depot, and end up spending my money at Sears. They match Lowes and Home Depot prices, and can deliver the next day. Lowest and Home Depot always need 10 days to order what I want.

I just bought a washing machine at Home Depot. It's a Maytag, reg $599 on sale for $399. I used Shop Discover and got 10% plus another 5% for shopping online (saved another $60), then I submitted a $50 rebate through my utility company for buying an energy efficient machine, THEN I sold my old one on CL for $25.

Discover will double my warranty. And if I find a lower price in the next 90 days they will refund the diff.

HD had free delivery & haul away too.

I would suggest looking through Black Friday ads for what you need.

We bought our appliances at Sears.

But we needed all 3 replaced at once. Fridge, dishwasher, and stove.

We lucked out because not only were the appliances on sale for 30% off, but they were an additional 25% off if you purchased 3 appliances at a time.

We had saved $5,000 for all 3 appliances and ended up getting about $5,500 worth for $3,000. We got mid-upper range, stainless, not the highest they had but nowhere near the lowest end.

I recently shopped for a microwave. Best Buy, Lowe's, Sears and Home Depot all had the model I wanted at the exact same price, but no one had it in stock.

Home Depot could get it to me 6 days earlier from the others. Shipping, delivery and haul away were all free. The others all were charging for delivery. Sears wanted $47. :confused3

Home Depot has my business.

We buy all our appliances at Sears, that's even with my wife working at Lowes. We've always had excellent after sale service from Sears so we stick with that.

I get most of my appliances at sears because they price match. I know that they wanted $50 to deliver my dishwasher but so did everyone else so we picked it up and DH installed (he does HVAC so plumbing is not a stretch for him - thank goodness he's very handy that way which saves us a ton of money).

I got my washer at Best Buy and they were great. Free delivery and free installation - which even though he could do it made DH happy as it was one less chore. I can't remember on the haul away as it didn't matter to me. My town does free haul away on all appliances and I just had them take it out to the curb.

Lowes for me now too. I usually got delivery the next day, I guess it depends if the item is in stock at the local store.

ONE thing I liked is that if you buy the warranty, it starts after the manufacturer one is over at Lowes. So a 4 year warranty is for years 2-5, not 1-4. I know Best Buy does not do this with theirs, learned that the hard way. (Had to replace a dishwasher that was 3 years 2 months old.)

I have been buying warranties after a string of bad appliance luck.

We have a store called Brandsmart. No one can touch their prices and they deliver. Also, we have several scratch and dents. Sears has a scratch and dent. I bought a stainless frig fro 399 and a great stainless gas convection for 400 (original 1600). All because of a small dent on a drawer.

we do sears b/c they will price match, and they will reduce the price further if it goes on sale within 14 days. if you let the sales person know what you are looking for (by phone is how we did it) they can clue you in on how to time it for upcoming sales.

we did this for our lg washer/dryer. guy at sears told us to come in within 2 days b/c the promotion was buy the 2 and get both of the stands free, but when that sale ended the washer and dryer were going on sale for several hundreds off if you bought the set. we went in bought the set and arranged delivery, the next day called and the sales person pulled up our order and applied the new sales price:thumbsup2 if you sign up for sears rewards you get points that are worth dollars at sears (don't have to use a sears card or have sears account). we also use our Costco amex card so we get another 1% cash rebate and they extend the manufacturers warranty:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
