Does anyone know what deals apple will have on there macbooks on black friday?

I got a very vague e-mail from them today saying tune in friday for lots of great deals in store and online and that was it. NO details. Very disappointing. I don't want to go there if I don't know what kind of deal I'll be getting ahead of time.

Do you have a student in your house? When we bought our MacBook, the student discount was better then the government discount.

Do you have a student in your house? When we bought our MacBook, the student discount was better then the government discount.

Our student is in pre-school and doesn't count. But the discount on the lap top he's getting me is $50 so it's pretty good. I just double checked and it's the same discount for education and govt. ($51 off)

I bought my macbook from macmall. I liked getting a good price and lots of free items in rebates. Service was good and fast. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was that they had me call about the order, and I think that was only to bug me to purchase the protection plan. They did convince me to add it, which ended up being cheaper than if I had added it on my own during the timeframe I could have done so. I've ordered from them several times for other items, and have been happy each time.

According to the e-mail the deals will also be online.

I know when I called customer service to arrange a return the other day the rep wouldn't say what the deals were going to be but she did say that things were going to clear out fast as the deals were going to be really good and so I should not to wait to re-order as I might not get what I wanted before Christmas (DS9 is being very very specific about what Santa is bringing).

I googled this ... and a "leak" if you would call it that ... said many ipods would be 30% off, computers 25% and accessories 15%. Here is the link. Not sure if it is true. All 3 of my sons want something from there. Guess I will be standing in their line Black Friday.

Seems to be the cheapest price on the 3rd generation 32...any experience with Macmall?

I just ordered an 8gb 2nd generation Ipod touch from them and had it in days. They had free engraving too. I'm waiting to see what Apple has on Black Friday because I need to order another one. If I don't see anything else cheaper online, I will order from them again because of the engraving.

Apple store online has the free engraving too. I just got it on the ipod I bought for middle DS. The only thing is it's not available for refurbished products.

Most people on the net believe the ad to be fake.

There is another scan though, which pretty much works out to the same discount as either GOV or EDU for macbook pros and a small discount for ipods.

I know I'll be online to get myself a 13"mbp Friday morning whatever the discount is

This has been reported to be a fraud/fake for over a week....I guess we will just have to wait until BF to see.

Mine came really quickly and they included the links to all available rebates. If you use uPromise, they are a 2% retailer, I think. Whatever the percentage was, the cash back was in my account before I'd even received the package. Very pleased with Macmall.
