I rarely let the kids use it!
. It is well worth the price IMHO.We have one and I am on it right now!! I love it. I do not use our regular computer anymore. I use it to go online, pay my bills, email, play games, reading books, and for all the cool aps! Originally it was for the family and I gave DH a hard time for spending the money on it. Then I used it, fell in love and now it's mine!!!I rarely let the kids use it!

So far I absolutely love it. I love being able to grab it to check email quick, or look up something online without having to run upstairs to the computer. They opted to go for the biggest memory rather than the 3G version, and I think that was the smart thing to do.Ok, just read your post after I posted!!! I could have written THIS post!!!
Don't you love the spell check that comes with this when using message boards!![]()

For anyone who has one, what is the monthly cost for the internet connection?
I am not sure if you know this, but if you have a Wifi Connection at home you can use it instead of a data plan. So if you just plan to use it at home you can get the cheaper Wifi Only version. That is what I am planning to do once the second generation model comes out.
I would have to check and see if I have the Wifi. I'm pretty terrible when it comes to mobile internet connectivity.. can never get that stuff figured out.
What I meant if you have a broadband internet connection to you current PC then what you can do is get a wireless router which will give you a Wifi (wireless lan) throughout your house. Then you can connect the Ipad to the wifi connection. If this was the case it would not cost you anything extra except for the cost of the wireless router ($60-$80). Then you could also connect any other wireless device as well. I have 4 laptops, 1 printer, 1 Wii, 2 Nitendo DS's and an IPod Touch all sharing my wireless router.
was setting up the router pretty easy?
It's awesome!!
