Apple French Toast???

I think I read that the cream cheese stuffed french toast at Cindy's is now covered in apples? Are the apples optional? I thought it was yummy as is.

I dont really care for apple "filling" like pie or danish so I was a little concerned when I too read here about the apple stuff being on top of the cheese french toast(that had sounded great to me). With the excitement of being at Cindys I forgot about it at the time and was brought one with apples. From someone who isnt big on apple, I have to say it was still wonderful! There wasnt much of it there and it sort of complimented the flavor.
Im sure you could ask for it plain, and see what they say. It couldnt hurt. But even if you have to have it on there, its still really good!

On our 05/2000 trip it was plain. Then on our trip in 08/2001 it was covered in fruit. I am not a fruit person, so I asked for some plain and some syrup and our server looked at me like I was a hillbilly, but brought some out for me.
