Appetizers

I was wondering if, at the table service restaurants, a salad would be considered an appetizer?

Last year when we were on the Dining plan I had a salad as an appi and during one of the meals I had a salad in place of fries ( I dont know what I was thinking)

If there is a salad listed under the appetizers, yes. If it's an entree type salad, no.

For example, Le Cellier has a caesar salad as an appetizer, but also has a Steakhouse salad as an entree.
