Just curious if anyone has any experience with this. We found that at Mama Melrose, some of the appetizers were large enough/filling enough to be a meal.
Any other suggestions before I scour through all the menus?

DH and I do this alot, there are alot of interesting options...

Lots of places offer appetizer platters, and other options that are meant for sharing... RainForest, T-Rex, Planet Hollywood come to mind right away at Disney Springs.

We were at Terralina on Saturday night and the couple we were with got "Italian Fries" they are covered in a creamy cheese sauce and salami, the portion was huge, We got the mozzarella stuffed rice balls, three large rice balls, with a tomato basil sauce for dipping... again alot of food and easily shareable...

I would just spend some time checking out the menus and see what looks good to you...

I started my initial searching. I was thinking since I'm not a big eater, my DH and I could split a TS credit on the Deluxe Plan (assuming it comes back before our trip). We have done this before at Mama Melrose easily.
Chef Art Smith might be harder, as I am a vegetarian. If bread service at Sanaa still counts as an appetizer, then that is totally doable as one credit.

Very interesting thread.......I have always been a dining plan - must do person. But since there are no dining plans, I've had to change my mindset a bit and I am finding that there are many options I have not even considered. This trip I may take the estimated cost of what a dining plan might have been - use that and see where I fall being over or under with the flexibility that I know I will love.

I've seen on several videos of people ordering the prime rib slider appetizer in the lounge at the Yacht Club. That's on my to do list.

I usually do an appetizer and dessert. I find they are generally the best items on a menu and bonus you don't get filled up.

I sometimes order just an appetizer and dessert, but I have this same question since I don't always order right. Last time I just ordered the Brazilian Bread at Jungle Skipper Canteen. It filled me up, but I wished I'd gotten something less carb-heavy. At Sanaa, I got the Salad Sampler (don't know if that counts as appetizer or side) and dessert. That salad sampler is my new favorite!

Another appetizer and dessert person, I rarely order an entre. My favorite, Cobb Salad at HBD. I never order the meal one, always the appetizer one and a piece of grapefruit cake.
The Cobb is no longer on the appetizer menu just lunch/dinner entree🙁 The lounge doesn’t seem to be doing food either.

One of my favorite app meals is pan cristal and an endive salad at Jaleo.
I could eat 2 or 3 plates of the pan de cristal by myself. It's really popular in Barcelona/Catalunya where they call it pa amb tomaquet. Brings back good memories.

I love most all of the appetizers at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' ... almost all of them are something to write home about.

My go to appetizer meals:
Sanaa - another vote for Bread Service
Homecomin' - Thigh High Biscuits
Kona Cafe - Lobster Mac & Cheese
