Hello!

Weird question, I know, but does anyone know if it's possible while on the DDP to choose an appetizer as an entree (and perhaps have it a little larger instead?) I have one daughter who is extremely picky, but tends to like appetizer foods.

Thanks!

Nope. They're pretty strict about it sorry.

You could buy it OOP and save her credit.

Yes the answers above are correct last year on the DDP we dined at Raglan Rd. I was feeling unwell but didn't want to spoil the party so I asked if I could have a soup instead of a main course I got a definate no not sure why.

What you can do is just buy the appetizer, and save the point. Spend the point later on an additional one of your own meals. This works if you have more TS meals planned than nights on your stay.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't see it was already suggested. :)

You are better off paying OOP for the appetizer. Or have her share with someone in the family if there is an entree she likes, but it's too large. Sauces can be left off or on the side, sides can be substituted if needed. The only TS that will not let you use 1 credit to feed 2 people is Via Napoli. She will be charged a credit at buffets, family style restaurants, fixed price meals (CRT, Akershus), dinner shows, the platter at Whispering Canyon Cafe and the Fantasmic! Dinner Package.

The non-Disney owned restaurants (e.g. Raglan Road) absolutely will not allow an appetizer as an entree because they are reimbursed by Disney according to the rules of the dining plan (entree must come from the entree section of the menu).

We were on the DxDDP so got an appetizer, entree, and dessert. At Chef's de France, I tried to order two appetizers, instead of an appetizer and entree and was refused. Our very nice waiter, even went and asked a manager, who came out to explain how they are reimbursed for the DDP and there was no way to enter an appetizer as an entree into the computer. He said you had to order each component from that component's part of the menu. He told me I could skip the entree, but could not order anything in place of it, including an appetizer. I laughed and asked him if they could't just enter any entree they wanted into the computer, but bring me out the second appetizer I wanted. He too laughed, but said that would not be possible.

Because Raglan Road is not a Disney operated restaurant. They are required to be pretty strict with the allotments due to their reimbursement by Disney for dining plan use.

Buy the appetizer OOP and use your daughter's credits to eat somewhere else. Any adult in your party can use those credits.
