We absolutely LOVE to eat at many of the Dis. restaurants. Our problem is that if we do one big meal during the day we are so full that we can only do a snack and maybe a dessert or something. I've been looking at the menus for a bunch of places and wondering how many people go in for just 'a bite to eat?' :confused3

Anytime, even when we're not at WDW, that we go out for a meal we rarely order an appetizer or a dessert AND a meal. However, on our last trip to WDW we had meal vouchers from Hotwire which included an appetizer and dessert with the meal. We split the meal so that we could eat it all, and we found that we only ate 2 meals a day. We ate lunch around 11 and then dinner around 7 (no breakfast.) If we hadn't split it, there would have been no way. We are definitely "bite to eaters." :)

We've occasionally done appetizers and dessert, like you, appetizer, entree and dessert is just too much food for us at one sitting. When we do the smaller meals, though, we try to avoid the busy dining hours to be fair to the servers since the bulk of their income is tips. We also don't make a PS for the lighter meals, we simply inform the hostess we'd like "dessert only" and ask if they can work us in. I have heard a report on the boards that DIsney Dining will not take a PS for "dessert only".

Oops - I wasn't clear! What I meant was do you go in and JUST get appetizers and desserts. :earboy2:

Most places won't mind, as long as it's not a busy time - some restaurants will not seat you if you are not doing a meal, which is understandable at busy times. I would just stop in and ask if they can fit you in, that you just want appetizers and desserts. OR sit at the bar at one of the great places =)

Sorry :) I didn't read carefully enough.

I've done this many times, in and out of WDW. An appetizer and dessert will usually run me the cost of a single entree, if not a little more. Enjoy!

We have done just appetizers and desserts before, most recently at the CG. My DH and I had wine, split 3 appetizers between us and each had a dessert. Our DS had a kids meal. Our bill was still over $80, so probably close to what we would have paid if we had entrees and nothing else. Sometimes we like to just sample a few things, and eating only appetizers and desserts alows us to do that.
