I have been given the task to bring an appetizer to Thanksgiving and I thought something to go with Fritos chips sounded good, but I don't know what to make. Anyone have anything good? I'm thinking some sort of dippy thing, but I'm open to anything. Thanks!

BLT DIP

8 oz. sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
Hormel Bacon Bits
2 med. tomatoes, diced (remove seeds)

Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, bacon bits and tomatoes together. I love this with Frito scoops!

SHRIMP DIP

1 bottle cocktail sauce
1 pkg cream cheese
1 can tiny shrimp

Mix all ingredients . Refrigerate dip for 1 hour. Dip Frito scoops in mix.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

1 pie plate full
2 (5 ounce) cans chicken, drained
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup ranch dressing
3/4 cup red hot sauce
shredded cheddar cheese, you decide how much

Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and red hot sauce.
Fold in shredded chicken.
Spread mixture into pie plate sprayed with Pam.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Add cheddar to top and bake an additional 10-15 minutes.
Serve hot with Frito scoops.

I love the 7 layer mexican dip myself!! Not sure if its really THANKSGIVINGISH...but anytime I make it its doesn't last long.

One of the easiest appetizers in the world goes GREAT with Fritos Scoops...

* Spread 1 8-oz package softened cream cheese in the bottom of a pie plate

* Top with one can of no-beans chili (I use Hormel)

* Top with shredded Mexican cheese blend to your liking

* Either bake or microwave until warmed through and cheese is melted and bubbly.

That's it! It's always a BIG hit with kids and men! (OK, I like it too ;) )

The men in my family LOVE this dip:

1 lb Jimmy Dean sausage (hot or medium, your preference)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
1 can Rotel (hot or medium, your preference)

Brown sausage in skillet and drain. Place cream cheese into a 2 quart casserole dish and add Rotel and cooked sausage. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes or until hot.

You can also heat the dip in the microwave. Just stir at regular intervals.

I have made this dip and put it in the crockpot to keep warm. As a matter of fact, that is what I plan to do this Thanksgiving.

Ok, this is going to sound wierd....but trust me it is really good, especially with fritos.

1 (20 oz.) bag frozen corn
2 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. cream cheese
1 can chopped green chillies
4 oz. Cheddar Cheese grated
2 heaping tbs. sour cream
2 heaping tbs. mayo
onion
cumin
chilli powder
salt

Cook Corn according to package directions with salt, but add garlic. Strain, mix together hot corn, cream cheese, mayo, sour cream and green chillies, then grate about 2-3 tbs. onion into mixture. Add 1/2 to 1 tsp. cumin, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, and 1 tsp salt. Mix well. Let Cool. Ad grated cheese.

You may need to add more salt after it has set.

(Note, I never add the grated onion- I just omit and it is still great). Better if you make 1 day before and let the flavors come together.

I love the hot broccoli dip recipe from Pampered Chef:thumbsup2
