Not exactly sure why they are comparing him. :confused3

I'll have to read the article and see what makes him so special?

Personally, I think he tries to hard to be political and needs to get over himself.

Awesome! I can't wait to see what kind of tizzy the AFA gets themselves worked up into. Then I shall be entertained by all the "offence" taken by this. :cool1:  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Hmm. That is odd. I wonder what the article says.

I must admit if I saw it on the news stands, it would definitley catch my eye. . .even if it wasn't for all the 'right' reasons per se.

I'm pretty sick of Kanye anyways. He was great at first but...he just seems so overdramatic. Also looks like he has a pretty big ego.

As another poster said, he needs to get over himself.

What's the AFA??

I think Kanya West is arrogant and ignorant. I have had enough of him on his soapbox.

A religion based "morality police" group that decides if it's offensive to them then no one should get to see/hear it.

They had a tizzy over the Book of Daniel and decided that since they didn't like it no one should watch it. They also threatened to boycott Ford if they didn't pull advertising in The Advocate.

I find the article listed on the left called God's Senator: Inside the War Room of the Religious Right much more disturbing than Kanye.

Should we keep the mag. cover out of our schools and other public places because of the so-called separation of church and state?? ;)

If he's going to play the martyr, he should go on Oprah (if he hasn't already).

i like kanye. But i'm a born again Christian and I am offended by this. He was raised in a Christian home. I would think it's possible his mother might not be happy with this either. I'm easy going. I wasn't bothered by the Book of Daniel but this just seems wrong on so many levels.

Who is Kayne?

Kanye West, a musician. Well not really, I guess just a singer. He is the guy who said "George Bush doesn't care about black people" during the telethon after Hurrican Katrina. He has done the songs "Jesus Walks," and "Golddigger."

Also, he believes white people should not use slang unless it is one year old or going out of style.

Well that's a given. :rotfl2: Oprah is a whole other topic...she's lost all credibility in my eyes.

NEW YORK -- Kanye West thinks he's a gift from God and he's reinforcing that with the cover of the new Rolling Stone.

West appears as Jesus on the cover, wearing a crown of thorns.

Inside the magazine, he's shown posing as ex-heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.

West said people who criticize him for telling everyone how good he is are hypocritical.

He said Americans want people to accomplish great feats and "David Copperfield-type stunts."

"You want me to be great, but you don't ever want me to say I'm great," West said.

West also noted that his hit "Gold Digger" was the best song last year and that it should have also been given the nod for Best Rap Song at the Grammys. He said that would have been "a gimme Grammy," except that isn't one of the categories he's up for.

And in the interview, he acknowledged he isn't only addicted to himself.

West said he has been addicted to pornography since he was 5, when he saw one of his dad's girlie magazines.

He said that, since then, "it was like, `Houston, we have a problem."'

What "great feats" does he think he's accomplished? This guy is too much. He never manages top top himself! Ugh.

Ita. ::yes::

More pre Grammy hype. The public will grow tired with him like they did with Fiona Apple (bad Grammy speech long time ago). I like some of his songs from his last two albums and "Jesus Freak" was one of my favorite performances from last year's Grammys.

Still I'd take his nominated songs over Candy Shop and Don't Phunk with my Heart.

While he does need to get over himself, I'm quite sure the image on the cover wasn't his idea. This cheap stunt to sell magazines and CDs was drawn up by the Rolling Stone dream team. I think the idea was to draw some kind of pathetic parallel based on the persecution poor Kanye has faced in the last year. His plight is outlined in the article. Along side his fondness for porn. What an icon!

I am so sick of him. Whenever I see the telethon clip, it makes me sick. :badpc:

Me thinks he has a wee bit of an ego problem!
