To those who apologized Thank You. I was extremely upset by the original post and by sam's comment about leaving her 6 y.o. in line. I ignored that though and addressed the other comments made by dizzy. It made me sick to my stomach to think that someone would be so mean to their child. I was very relieved to see that it was just a joke, a joke in very poor taste (which I also said on the original thread) but a joke all the same. Thank You again, for apologizing, it does make a difference.
Sherry, I would have said something to any CM, or I would have left the line and told those around me why I was leaving and asked to come back. NOTHING is more important than a child's safety, that Mother would have had some explaining to do when she returned to her child. OTH, what if she wasn't the Mom? What is she an Aunt or cousin? Maybe it wasn't as important to her, altho that is no excuse.
Jane, I'm glad the CM came and got the Mom and made her wait outside! As a CM I wonder if she could have called security and had something more forceful done, removal from the park maybe?
Jade (and others) I was a very young Mom, I was 16 when my first DD was born, she's now 20 and expecting her first child. NO WAY would I EVER have left her alone like that. No way, even at 16 I knew what a gift a child was and my girls have always been my number 1 priority.

Not every young Mom is irresponsible like that.

Like I said yesterday, I won't even let my 8 y.o. wander DL alone, or my 12 y.o. I do let them wander together but I must know exactly where they are going and they always have a phone with them while I have the other one. We are always "in the know" where they are concerned.
