If we have the time during the holiday season, we probably will see it. The previews look really intersting. I'm not going to let the fact that Mel Gibson has a alchohol problem influence my decision. If I made the decision to NOT SEE every movie with either an actor or director I had issues with, I would never see a movie!!!!!

I want to see it, but I should have picked other, because it's unlikely I will see it when it first comes out. Couldn't even tell you the last movie I saw in the theater.

Mel Gibson as a person has nothing to do with my interest in the movie. I wouldn't invite him over for dinner, but I have no problem watching his movies.

ETA, LOL I have zero problem having my opinion 'on record'.

No, because I can't read sub-titles.

I am really looking forward to seeing this film with my kids. We actually went this summer to some Mayan ruins and started to learn about their culture and history. When we first arrived at the ruins, I was amazed how big they were. Mel Gibson will make this a great movie, I love his films, especially Braveheart and we cant wait to see it.

I liked Braveheart a lot, even though it was pretty violent. I'm probably going to see this one too.

I don't get hung up on a performer's personal opinions. If the art is good, I'll still spend the money to see it, hear it or read it. Perhaps that's because I still remember a time where we didn't know the personal opinions of performers and we just enjoyed what they did and evaluated them on that.

I want to see it in the theater but I'm not sure if my dfi wants to see it because of his recent incident. I might have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

But I am also of the belief that drunk people say what they really feel as they aren't in control enough to stop themselves.

Not always IMO. I believe that a lot of people in a drunken state will says things they really don't mean. It's not that it they harbor those feelings and control them when they're sober. I think we've probably all said something we really don't mean while NOT being drunk. But I think if you have a history of saying such things, drunk and/or sober, then that's who you really are. But just once? Not IMO. I'd like to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Is this one subtitled too? I thought I might have a problem with Passion but after a few minutes I was able to keep up. BTW, I like the subtitles at the bottom. When watching Hero's, I find the subtitles distracting because they're placed on top of the actor speaking.

I voted maybe because I'm not sure.
With the cost of movies now and the fact that movie theaters around here are overrun with obnoxious rude people, I'm pretty selective over what I see in the theaters now. This movie looks interesting but something that requires paying attention.

Mel's drunken actions have no bearing on my deciding to see the movie.
