Do most all families (with elementary aged kids get "APLAPLA" for rotation? or have some gotten others???

We have had the PLAPLAP rotation both times we've sailed. Our kids ages were (1st time & early seating) 11, 8 and 4 and (2nd time & late seating) 14, 11 and 7.

there were 13 of us with kids ages, 10,10,9,6,6 and 4

We had early seating with LAPLAPL

I've never had that rotation, and I've sailed with my daughter ages 5-9. We usually get PLA. I've had LAP as an adult sailing without my child.

Do we get the rotation with our documents or when we check in?

Rotation will be printed on your key to the world when you check-in.

We had LAP.. our children were 2 and 5 and we had the early seating.

I have never had that rotation either on 3 cruises and my daughter is 5. It really does not matter to me what my rotation is. I enjoy all the restaurants.

We had LAP with 4 young kids. We requested late seating because it works best for us but I was surprised by the rotation. There were still lots of other kids in there too. It all worked out great for us.

APL was great on Western - Parrot Cay on tropical and Lumieres on Formal and semi-formal. We were on the late seating, and didn't notice any more kids in that seating than when we did the LAP early seating.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason with the seating, young kids or not, it seems they seat you evenly.

We had APT (Wonder) which is same as APL on the magic. It was me, DH, DM and DD who was almost 2.

I don't think the rotation really matters b/c starting the 4th night they all have the same menu, however Animator's Palate was my least favorite restaurant in terms of decor. Parot Cay was my favorite!

ive cruised 3 times which dd wawsw 16, 18, 19 and have gotton laplapl on 7 day and lap both times on 3 day

Hi Everyone! I'm new to posting on the boards, but I've been enjoying your boards for months and I've learned so much! We are going on our (believe it or not) first Disney experience and its going to be on the 4 day Wonder in Oct. (This is also our first cruise). I've read on some posts that Animators Palate only does its light show the first night. We'd really like to see it. I know some people feel its not that big a deal, but I think it would be neat. Our kids are looking forward to it...DD5, DD9, DS12. Is there any way to request that rotation ahead of time?

you do know it's the first night that you are assigned that rotation? all rotations get to see the light show

Laurarn, Firist off welcome to the DIS - hope you keep posting!

When people talk about the AP show being only the first time, they mean the first time that each of the rotations is in AP. So no matter what your rotation your first night in AP will have the show. Most people like to keep this in mind so they don't book Palo on that night and miss the show. Hope that helps clear things up!

Thanks so much for your quick response and clearing that up for me. There's so much information, it can get confusing. I have my Passporter book and I printed the list of must-haves for the trip from these boards. (I've actually picked up my over the door shoe organizer and Bonine already:))

It's too bad they don't let you know what your rotation is when you get your cruise documents. We do know we are on the second seating - that much they tell you in the documents.
