This may be yesterday's news;) ; just checking my rates for late June; there are some APH rates available...not sure if it's a new release or I'm just late to the party.

PB; GV @ $269/night is one I remember (AAA was around $10 less)

happy hunting:thumbsup2

thanks for the heads up.

now i have to wait for october ap rates.......

Thanks......checked our trip....only King Suite available.....oh well...I'll have to keep checking.....

cherylp3~ go to Universal's home page, click under hotel, check rates and when the rates come up, scroll down to bottom left corner where it says "new search"....type aph there (or aaa)....since they re-did the website, you might be better off calling the hotel directly....(which is my plan tomorrow ;) )

i checked out your link but it is for rph and i will be at hrh in october.

i booked with AAA discount. they were up at the end of december 06 for this year. AAA rates are out.

my first night rate is $191.20 at hrh, then it goes up for the next nights.
it's cheaper at hrh with the AAA from what i have received. my first night is in the value season then goes up to regular rates.

do you have the link for hrh for oct?
can you share it here?

i just called UO and was told they do not have their aph rates up for my time period yet.

thanks akdar for the link.

this is confusing for me.
the AAA rates showed up and when i booked in february, it went thru with the AAA rate discount.

the aph rates i just viewed on that link are much higher for my time period.

i have the 4th for $191.20 and the rest has an increase to $229 per night.

ap rate is much higher.

i am getting the free upgrade to king suite for the garden rate.

guess i will be sticking with the aaa rate.

thanks for your help, appreciate it !

The AAA rate that I got for June 30th - July 4th was 239.20 for PBH GV

hmmm...went back & checked, i mistakenly thought of rate w/ tax, etc.; you are correct!

AAA 6/28/07; all rates before tax/fees:
GV $239.20
BV $263.20
Del $279.20

Just called to check APH for RPR during our stay in June.......only APH rate available was for King Suite...no "standard" rooms available! oh well...i'll stick w/ our AAA rate....(it's not that bad)

I got a great APH rate at RPR 2 nights in May and a great rate at the Portofino for 1 night in June :thumbsup2

i can't believe that HRH for the end of June is still so high...not sure what to do.

I hear ya! I just made our reservations for the HRH & the PBH for the end of June using AAA. Still not nearly as low as I was looking for. Let's hope that the rates drop lower as June gets closer.:scared:

it's the case of supply and demand.
as long as that hotel stays pretty well full, the rates will probably stay high.

there is always the possibility of rates dropping so keep checking.

in 2005 i used the AAA for the discount for hrh.
2 weeks before my trip, the rates for ap dropped lower than aaa did.

guess i'll have to keep checking....end of june is pretty busy....

here's a question: if we HAVE a room booked already, (as we do) and the AP rate comes out lower, they will give me the AP rate if I call and ask for it, eh? for instance, when I called last nite inquiring about ap rates for our date, she said only a king suite was available. she didn't 'volunteer' AP rate for standard room...i guess my question is: if you have AP, (and it's lower than the rate you're booked at) even if they show NO ROOMS available at AP rate (sold out or whatever reason), you should still be able to switch it to AP rate--since the AP rates are available.....right?

am i making sense, or am i confusing everyone???

(if i am...sorry... :flower3: )

if you booked with the ap rate and the rate lowers, you HAVE to call and modify your ressie. then you will get the lower ap rate.

a certain percentage of rooms are allocated for the ap rate.
the hotel might lower the rate for ap holders in order to fill up more rooms.

the rooms already booked are already taken into account in that %.

one time only since i have been staying on site i did not modify my ressie.
did not get the automatic drop in the rate.

to be on the safe side, call and ask them what is there policy and get the person's name for verification purposes.

if you are told you can check in and get the lower rate, be able to back it up.

look at it this way.....if the ap rate increases, would you allow them to charge you more for the room than what you had previously booked at?

thanks mac  ....we are currently booked at AAA rate.....just keepin' tabs on AP rate.....

Just thought I'd share...I just got HRH 6/5 & 6/6 for 144 a night on APH. Seems too low to be real.

Question for the seasoned APH holder. How often does the front desk seem to ask for your annual pass? I just upgraded my Power Pass in Feb on the phone when it expired. So I won't have the card with me as I have to pick it up at Guest Services which will probably be closed when we check in.
