Went to Universal page to check on rates for aug.11-15th(already have mine) and they have really dropped!HRH Club $334.00,Pool 249.00 and Garden $214.00.These are great rates for first of aug.Dropped my rate by 34.00 per night(I have club)xs 4 nights is 136.00 savings.That will buy a couple of meals!!If I changed my garden room I would have saved a total of $184.00,but would lose the 2 free park tickets!The garden room had already been upgraded to pool view because of loews platinum status!! Can't wait to go!!

Sorry, you lost me. Platinum upgrades at HRH go from garden view to King Suite. If you have only 3 in your party, you can get a super saver rate of $246 (which is the garden view rate) and Loews will automatically upgrade you to a King Suite as platinum. With tax, this saves you $396 over 4 nights ($334-246 = $88*1.125 for tax = $99*4 nights = $396). You can get 2 bonus tickets for a total of $183.18, so your savings would be $212.82. You'd be giving up Club though. If you have more than 3 in your party, a King Suite is not an option... is this why GV went to a PV upgrade? I'm scratching my head at the upgrade. If you're Plat, and you have > 3 people in your party, I'd have pushed for a Deluxe Room upgrade instead.
