APH holder rates July??

I have read you cannot do this. That they will have to cancel your reservation and book another with APH and that they often find there is no APH rate "available" in this situation.

I believe I've only read of one account of such a thing...if it were a concern, why not just book the APH rate online, then call and cancel the other? We canceled a package last year and the refund was back in our account in 2 days...

As long as you book as soon as the APH rates come out, you will be fine. You need to keep watching. Changing dates is the case that becomes more difficult.

I honestly check everyday just to make sure I don't miss anything Do you happen to know if there is a pattern like APH rates/other specials appear on a specific day of the week or anything like that?

I'm not aware, but sometimes rates are available by calling before they are available online.

I just went through my old Royal Pacific emails from years past. We normally always stay for July 4th weekend. We normally book in January the when the AP rate come out we change. Last year the AP rate came out around March 23. Thats the date of my new email with the AP rate. So everyone hang in there they should be out real soon.

Not saying it will happen this year but it just shows what happened last year. I also looked up the year before and it was the beginning of April when we changed rates. Last year I had to cancel right before our trip due to an injury so I could not take advantage of the rate.

I am going for my first time this June. How much of a discount does the AP rate give. We are going June 21. Not sure if it is worth me getting one AP so I can get the discount. I will need to book two rooms. Any thoughts?

not sure the exact amount for your days but for early June the rate is 154 a night for a regular room. So it could be worth it.

Its up to 30% off rack rate. If you want to check yourself just use the drop down box and choose promotions and put APH in the box beside that. If rates are avalible they will be listed with the rest of the rates.

I honestly don't know what AAA rates are. We are FL residents and AP holders and they normally have the lowest prices if you book early.

My AAA rate is $242.10 and the rack rate is $269.00 for my dates.

I am going to Disney the first week of July and thought I may go to Universal from 6/28 to July 1 as that I have not been in a few years. AAA gave me a rate of 990.22, Universal gave a rate of 1122 for Portofino. Reservations told me AP rates are only known to 6/9 and was willing to give me an example pricing because I am considering an AP pass for the room discount. A room at Portofino for 6/9 is $304, AP rate is $179. the cost of an AP is 229.99 through Universal, may be able to purchase one at AAA, need to check on that. Buying an Ap will save me $86, over 3 days on the hotel plus the other d iscounts. The AP fee and the room fee for 3 nights would be $766. Of course I could stay across the street for $80 a night, its the lure of being on site thats killing me!

Plus the FOTL Express pass (that's what got me to stay onsite, can't wait to use it)
