I am up to renew my AP... Do you get a new card when you renew and how long does it take to get in the mail if they do a new card?

Yes, you get a new card. However, you can keep your old one. I've only bought mine at WDW, so I cannot comment on mail.

I got mine in about 5 days. I renewed online instead of by mail.

I renewed mine by mail because I wanted the 50th Anniversary Mickey Mouse on my card. And it doesn't take long at all, it only took a few days. The processing department is very efficient. I have had no problems. You can renew your cards at the park if you choose to do so, but I don't because it saves me a trip in line.

Yep. I renewed online this year to get the Mickey cards and it was I think 5 days for my pass (December) and 2 or 3 days for DHs. I didn't even realize it was his pass at first because I wasn't expecting it (comes in a non-Disney envelope). When you renew by mail/online you also get a 20% off $50 DLR store purchase coupon.

I've renewed at DLR up until this year though. It's super easy. You just walk up to the Guest Relations window, pay for for the new pass, and they print one up for you. Though once they made us go get new pics which I was bummed about (pass pictures were probalby 3 years old. I could see them wanting a new pic for 7YO whos pic was taken on her 3rd Bday, but I look exactly the same).

Ok, thanks!
So, now my questions is will I be pushing it if I renew online tomorrow or later today and I am leaving on July 10th? :confused3
If I wait for the trip I won't get my 20 dollar discount.

Personally, I don't think you're pushing it at all but if you want to know for sure, part of the AP renew is asking when you need the tickets by IIRC. I would go and do a 'dry run' and see how Disney feels about it :teeth: I honestly think you'd have it in time, but with it being a holiday and all if it does arrive late you want it to be Disneys fault :lmao: so they can be responsible for it.

I was concerned about this when I got mine renewed so I called guest services. They told me that as long as the payment has been processed, they'll give you a comp card if your passes haven't come yet. Unfortunatly, I don't remember if that counts agains your lost pass comp or not.

In either case, I'd renew now, online.

HERE'S A TIP! Like stated above.. you can renew your AP inside the park at guest relations but unfortunately there is always a LONG line... UNLESS you go about an hour before the park closes... you usually can just walk right in! :)

I agree with your signature (specifically the part about being broke). I finally bit the bullet and bought a premium annual passport yesterday at the Disney Store. It was exciting to finally buy it, but at the same time I thought "wow, I can't believe I just spent $350." I just hope that after the year is up, I found that it was worth it.

Happy to say I renewed them on-line last night. Except that it would not let me for some reason do all of them at the same time. So, since I need them by the 10th they added a 10.00 courier service fee on all 3 of them. I emailed them today to see if I could 20 of it back since they were all going to the same address. The gal on the phone said that it should not be a problem. Total money saved by renewing online 50.00 ( 10.00 courier service) otherwise it would have been 60.00.

I love Disneyland and I always tell people that my annual pass is the best investment I have done. We have been able to go so many more times this past year than what we normally would go. We saved tons of money on our Honeymoon by using our annual passes instead of buying a 3 day park hopper.
