So this is where we are going on our trip to WDW, kids want to visit ape d cot and see the big golf ball.

I suppose I should get them to pronounce it properly before we hack of some serious dissers, but I find it hillarious.

Along with the golf ball, according to the kids the castle is where Tinkerbell and Mickey Mouse live and so its called Mickey Mouses house.

I know calling things incorrectly really riles some people but do other people have "incorrect" names that they love to use.

I don't tihnk anyone on these boards will give you a hard time about the way your kids pronounce anythig Disney related - in fact I think it's quite cute :lovestruc

I can't think of any that mine say but only a few days ago DD (12) was sat around the table with a few of us and we were discussing words that we struggled to say. She then piped up and said "I can't say typical. Oh......apparently I can" Made me laugh. :goodvibes

I'm with Kenny, I think it's sweet to have cute names for things, I'm sure we've done it in the past, but I can't think of any off the top of my head

I think the only thing that riles me is when people refer to Disney World as Disneyland :rotfl2::rotfl2:

everything the first time we took our daughter when she was 2 belonged to her. in epcot we had "abbie's ball" HS we had "abbies hat" and pop century we had to look for "abbie's yo-yo" all the time. it was a red one. the castle did belong to "iyella" though

I think thats cute !! :goodvibes

My dd cant say if she pronounces it whiff !! We all now say whiff instead of if in this house !

Im sure in your house even when the kids are all goen up ecot will always be ape d cot !! :goodvibes

The last time we went to Florida our DD (now 5) was 2. She couldn't say Mickey but said "Michie" so WDW was refered to as "Michies". Since then we have had a couple of trips to DLRP which is "Little Michies" and our forthcoming Florida trip which is "Big Michies".
Got that :teacher: :laughing::laughing:

I think it's all really sweet :goodvibes one of my DDs couldn't say 'hospital' when she was little, she used to say 'hopsital' instead and 'elephants' were 'ephelants'! :rotfl:

When DD was little and her elder siblings were playing up, she would ask if she was being haved instead of behaved :goodvibes
