Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times!!! I couldn't find any threads directly related to this question.

What exactly is furnished in the apartment? The website is very vague.

Thanks!

I just came back a few days ago from setting up my daughter. She's in Chatham. She's in a two bedroom. Each bedroom has 2 twin beds, 2 night tables with a few drawers, one dresser with 6 drawers - so they each get 3 drawers. There is a bathroom for each bedroom and there's a linen closet in the bathroom. In the bedroom - there is closet that they share. Get the bedrisers so they can put stuff under their beds.

There is a full kitchen with full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, cabinets, a large cabinet with shelves to store things... each roomie took a shelf. There are plates, glasses, silverware, pots and pans, etc. They have a large living room and dining room too.

Any more questions - just let me know!

Yes on the microwave... No on the iron and ironing board. There may be one available to borrow though... not too sure. I know they can borrow a vacuum.

I went to set up my daughter feeling that we could have been provided with a lot more information than the website provides. I got alot of information on here. As we were flying, I shipped down some boxes with her linens, hangars, bed risers, paper goods, some of her clothes, bedding... whatever I could fit in there! (I was staying at the Boardwalk so I shipped them there.) When I got down there - I pretty much had to shop for food to set her up for however long it lasts! When you check your child in - my daughter went one way with all her important papers and they had a parents area for us. They gave apartment tours, had coffee, drinks, and cookies and DVC is there as well.

Expect to be exhausted by the end of that check in day! :)

There are also a lot of basics missing, like can openers, colanders, etc. I would go through all the cabinets before you go buy a bunch of stuff, but just know that the kitchens are stocked with VERY basic things.
