How many days do you think you need to get out of an AP to make it worth while.

Living in Seattle means 1 trip per year at most - unless my company kicks booty, but I do not see that in the near future.

Typically the basic AP breaks even at about 8 days. If you only go once a year for a week each visit, an AP could work for you. The trick is to make the next year's visit start 51 weeks after your this year's visit. Thus you'd get two trips on the same AP

The AP can actually pay for itself if you can use it for booking your hotel. We saved over $400 on our trip in Dec using the AP codes.

Just beware--our AP's end up costing us more!

When you have an AP and DVC points left, it is so easy to squeeze in an extra trip.
