AP worth it?

Okay I really have been doing research but I can't seem to wrap my head around the math. I have 4 - 5 day park hopper tickets for December. We will be staying at the DLH. I know we will not be able to come back to Disneyland in the next year so this will be our only trip. Is it worth it to get an AP for just me to get all the discounts (hotel, restaurants, purchases, etc)? Should I consider getting APs for the other 3 in my family? I just don't know what to do! I also have the tickets/hotel stay booked with a travel agent so not sure how to convert that to AP pricing and such! So please help me figure this out! I'm so dumb when it comes to math and financial stuff so I would really love advice and someone to explain things for me!

What we need to know to help you:
- Are your tickets adult or child or how many of each?
- Which AP?
- What are your dates? Or... is the AP you are looking at valid on every day of your trip?
- How much food and souvenirs do you plan on buying on property?
