Can anyone tell me what attractions/restaraunts besides TOT and R&R are open for the AP special event this coming weekend 3/14-16?

Those are the only two attractions that are mentioned in the Mickey Monitor.

I was really interested to see if any food service was to be available.

They normally don't mention what food or merchandise areas will be opened. You can guarantee that something will be open though.

I also was wondering about how many people attend such an event?

Sometimes these AP events can draw HUGE numbers of people. Everyone remember the Animal Kingdom fiasco last year?

I also remember how crowded Osbourne Lights preview can be. I am still planning on going the Friday!

I attended the event this past Friday. When you arrrive at MGM go to the ticket window that is marked for Passholder Event. There will be a sign in front. You show your pass and get a wristband.

From 7-8 you will be directed to the Beauty and the Beast Stage while the park clears out. There is a DJ providing entertainment. Around 7:45 they let us go on out to ToT and RnR. The food service is open in the back section. And also entertainment on the street. It was raining too hard on Friday to enjoy that.

There really were not that many people there. But that was the first night and alot of folks had forgotten about it. We rode ToT 7 times in a little over an hour. Did not do RnR. During the evening there were streetsmosphere characters walking around. They were a hoot!

Have fun! Wish I could be there.

Thanks for the info! I hope we luck out with smaller crowds too.

I thought I had read something about special passholder merchandise being for sale at this event? Did anyone see such things? I know the ToT passholder pin will become available this weekend, but was wondering if there was anything else that looked special.

The only thing that I saw was the Passholder shirts that they have had on sale for a while now.

We were hoping that they would have released the pin at the event the first night.. but alas they did not.

I have another question - my husband and I have annual passes, but our 2 year old does not, and neither does my 8 year old step daughter... are we allowed to bring them in with us? The 2 year old obviously won't ride anyway, and I doubt if the 8 year old would either.

Just the thought of being in the park with fewer people would be fun - and the chance to "tag team" ride ToT and RnR a couple times would be great. :)

Well, at the Osbourne Lights preview passholder shindig, I know they were telling people that every single person going in had to have a pass. The 2 year old, not needing a ticket anyway, would be let in I assume, but you might have trouble getting the 8 year old in without an annual pass. You could call Disney I guess to confirm, but I would hate to get there and be told she couldn't go in.

Thanks for the reply. Since we are staying at Beach Club Villas, it is only a short boat ride or walk over there, so I think we will go and just try. My husband can be very charming, so maybe he can talk them into it. If not, he can take the kids back to the room, and I can ride ToT and RnR for a couple hours! :)

We attended this on Sat, 3/8, and were surprised to find it not very crowded. The only 2 rides open were RnR and ToT, so DH and I rode each once, while our kids rode ToT over and over again. I smelled food, but I am not sure what was open(I think a counter service near the 2 rides). Actually, the only "street" open was the one leading to the 2 rides, and most of the shops were closed. We arrived at 8:30 pm, and were told that some special passholder merchandise would be available at the ToT gift shop, but we did not see any. The only other activity I saw was a dance party(deejay with a disco-type ball)set up behind the Toluca Legs counter service area for kids that included hula-hoops. Unfortunately, both times my kids tried to join in, there were no hoops left as 3-4 of the kids "hogged" them all night. These rude kids would either have 3 or 4 around their waist trying to hula, or be holding a few while hula-hooping with a few. Several castmembers witnessed this, and no one encouraged these kids to share.
