We are waiting for the AP room only rates to come out for late June. We'll be annual pass holders for the first time but we are also Florida residents and AAA members.

So, how does the AP rate (room only) compare to the Florida Resident or AAA room only rate? :confused3

They should be pretty similar. 10-20% depending on the resort and time of year

I believe the FL Resident rates are slightly lower than the AP rates. The AP rates are typically much higher than the AAA rates though.

AP rates are typically in the 40% off range, I do not know for the others.

While you wait for rates to come out, I thought you might like to see what some DISers posted they got last year with AP, FL Res and AAA deals for that period:

(OF COURSE THESE ARE NOW EXPIRED!)

AP Dates: 5/26/08-8/2/08

Values $94 STD View

Mods $144 STD View

AKL $179 STD View

WL $179 CY View

WL $199 Woods View

POLY $244 Garden View

POLY $303 Garden view (Reg season)

SSR $199 Studio (Reg Season)

And just for fun, some of their comments to give you something to look forward to :cutie::

AP rates for moderates ($144/night)

Riverside has lots of rooms available but we already have an AAA discount and the total difference for our seven-night stay would be about $150.00. And we all agree that we want to stay at French Quarter so I'm not changing anything. By the way, had I chose to stay at Riverside, the rate would have averaged $144 plus tax per night.

Just got $274/nt AP rate at Beach Club, 6/2 - 6/10/08. Saved $864!!

I had Beach Club, standard view, booked with a AAA rate total price including tax was $1498.48. I called for the AP rate and my new price for the same room and resort is $1233.00. I am very pleased!

I got YC waterview $398 inc tax vs non-AP rate of $508 inc tax - They did have WL Deluxe Courtyard with BB for $291 incl tax.

We got AKL standard room for $179!!! $201.37 including tax.

AKL ressies for June 28th - July 4th,2008 to the AP rates at $179 a night.

We went from $3,056 to $2,635!! Ap rate All Star Sports, AP dining plan!!

Went ahead and booked Ft Wilderness cabin for $203 a night.

Just got an AP for Saratoga. 9 nights for $1750!! I priced it without the AP rate and it came to 3100. Now that's scary.

I was able to get my brother's family into POP for $94/night June 28 -July 9,2008. I called and specifically asked for the AP rate for Pop Century. All of the value resorts were included online on the passholder site too. It wasn't a problem at all. $94/night plus tax. It is about $105 per night including tax. I was surprised that the 4th was included too.

I had AAA ressies at WL for BB WV and was able to get WL BB CY and saved about $200.

I just got the WL CY view for 215 a night!!! That save me over 500 for our dates, June 18-24,2008!!

Carribean Beach for $324 (that is with tax) for 2 nights on the weekend. I just called back and the family suite at AsMu is $ 276.50 per night with tax.

Our AP at WL was $234 a night.

Originally had WL woods view at $265 per night with AAA now have same room same dates at $199 and change per night.

Grand Floridian garden view for $339/night AP.

AP rate for WL - Courtyard view. It saved us $280 for the 5 nights or roughly 26% off the AAA rate that I previously had.

AP I got WL BB CY for 259.00 a night.

I called this morning and actually got two connecting rooms at the Poly. at a discounted AP rate of $303.00, per night per room.

AP rate is $484 a night (before taxes) for Club Level at CR.

Fla. resident codes has finally come out, I gave it a try and tried all the values, ASsp and ASMu both come up at $99, but for the same time period POP and ASMo come up at $111.

I just successfully was able to book the Contemporary under the Florida Resident code, even though last week nothing was available at that resort under the code. Our total room price for four nights in the Tower, Theme Park view went from $2092 to $1683 with the code!

We just booked the CR under the Florida Resident code (DS is Florida resident) and saved $400 over our existing ressie!

I was just on the phone with WDW reservations and they told me that the Florida Resident rate is exactly the same as the Annual Passholder rate.

The rates between AP and FR should be similar. I have friends there and they get about the same deals we do.

I had a one night stay at POP for 5/23 at $126 with AAA. Checked passholder site 4/15 and got the code, found the same preferred room for $89, a difference of $41 with tax. We have one night there and then 5 nights at SSR, 1BR on DVC points.
