AP upgrade

I am leaving tomorrow or saturday to DL. My son and I have a 6 day hopper. A friend just came back and gave us her tickets. she has 2 adults and a child 5 day hopper ticket that they only used 4 days of. How does upgrade work? How much will it cost for friends 1 day ticket and my 6 day hopper to upgrade to a AP. Also her husband signed his ticket, is that a problem. Can someone else use it, even though its signed?

Disney tickets are non transferable if they have been used at all, sorry!

Even if all the park hoppers were the OPs, my understanding is that you cannot combine tickets to upgrade - only one ticket can be applied to upgrade.

Tickets are non-transferrable (as a pp said) so you cannot use your friends tickets at all. Especially the signed ticket, no way will they let you use that for anything. Since they are non-transferrable you cannot combine them to use towards an upgrade.
